Here comes camera wars!!! But hey, nobody copied Nokia right?:)). As i was sayin':. Nokia starts the passion, copycats follow. In 2 years i will see dung fanboys saying: Hey Nokia copied the idea of greatcamera phones. Samdung and HTShi* did this a long time ago:))). They are the true innovators....:)))). Yeah, right!..:-'?"

But all of them have a different target and price point.The flagship phone is galaxy s and note(flaghip phablet if you like). the problem is that htc is releasing another flaghip device within 2months just after launching a new one. This is not only more confusing but also is bad for the customers who just brought a new device say, htc butterfly/droid dna....

As the current owner of couple of HTC it is so despondent to us as consumer when the company releases a phone after a phone, whilst we want to enjoy what we bought. I'm waiting for HTC butterfly as I did purchase it so now comes M7. mind you my HTC One X+ is 6 months old if I'm not mistaken. I prefer what iPhone do one phone per year even if it was two phone a year that would be much better...Nonetheless, HTC for life no matter what...

Coming to the point of One x's camera, it takes some knowledge to use it to its full potential.
Only being a professional photographer u can judge the value of raw processing when u need to take professional portraits.S3 and iphone 5 take some good images for instance but that's it. however the image processor in Sense goes beyond by providing the capability to root images.
Comparing in contrast to 808.U pureview owners just make me laugh. Actually its not your fault mates because your device doesn't have anything except camera to speak about. Now just don't dare to compare the base of any communicable technology i.e the O.S itself. I hope with these you are able to understand what I mean to say(Symbian Vs JB).
Secondly, has anyone heard the output of butterfly coz its so damn amazing(although the phone is bit on a pricey side)
At last I would say, nothing is perfect and its about priorities of one self. So be rational

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2013wow...you described both tehnologies as if you have invente... moreI read in a completely nonbiased report that the technology that HTC has produced is extremely expensive to manufacture at a global level even for flagships.....that is why no other mobile has gone for it ang my guess is HTC has found out a cheaper and efficient way to manufacture ultrapixel cameras....i hav a HD7....dropped a lot of times one time it fell on the road while driving my bike at high speed......can u honestly tell me ur sammy or apple mobile will cheap housing can manage even half of that? didnt think so.

How do you know that? how come this precious technology which by the way HTC didn't invent is not so widely used(it's not that new you know)?-one answer might be that it's not quite perfect(and since you described it so much I guess you know its flaws) and it's the same what happened in the car industry with the Wankel rotary engine(so we are stuck with this "primitive" technology that has been used, how did you say?-ahh, yes, "for ages")...it would be much more fair to just wait and see the results of M7 and then just talk like a "photographer" and since we are free at predicting the future, my simple guess is that again HTC will be behind Sony/Samsung/Apple in the camera field not to mention 808, but that's my guess, I may be wrong...
