I hope Intel can master its 7nm node like it did with 14nm+++ nodes

Ahamad, 26 Jul 2022Intel fab 4nm transistor denisty 160,000,000 vs N4/N4P Tsmc... moredude are u on drugs or are you a hater of intel, intel 7 has higher density then tsmc 7nm and intel 7 is basically 10 nm. Btw when did intel officially announced intel's 4nm even intel 4 is not officially announced or there not even density leak of intel 4 and you bringing Wikipedia source. it was just estimation from wikipedia bro not real one. In same Wikipedia they have mentioned both intel 10nm and 7 nm have same transistors density so will you read that and argue thats the truth i hope you have a good knowledge bro.

SShock, 26 Jul 2022Moving goal posts are we?What post? What was fixed in the v2 was my original question. I remember news about the v2 still overheating back then.

Or even any better than the v1? Not that i had no idea it existed. You must have seen a perf/watt graph somwhere to claim it was 'fixed'. So where is it?

Mediatek sux, 26 Jul 2022Why dont you go take a look at which tsmc node and what cor... moreAnd you call yourself self proclaimed expert and not even know there were (several actually) different SD 810 revisions. Funny. Also suddenly TSMC was bad back then which is why Snapdragon was bad. You can't seem to even grasp Qualcomm's presence in this picture which is hilarious given they designed the SD 810 (just like they did SD 888 and SD 8 Gen1) and they just happened to design it badly. Because Qualcomm totally never does that, no sir. Everyone else does, Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, all of them, but never Qualcomm. Qualcomm just always has this bad luck of process nodes in foundries messing with their plans and it's never their fault.

SShock, 26 Jul 2022Stick your stupid source somewhere. Is that all you can say... moreWhy dont you go take a look at which tsmc node and what cores were used in the 810 compared to the much better exynos back then? And compare that to the situation now. This should be really easy even for you.

What fix on the 810 v2? There wasnt any.

Mediatek sux, 26 Jul 2022No source, just nonsense once again?Stick your stupid source somewhere. Is that all you can say? Whine about "show me the source" everywhere? It seems like you don't remember Snapdragon 810 which was "running a tee bit hot" and how Qualcomm suddenly fixed it with v2 revision and later Snapdragon 820. There was no "this fab node sucks, bad Samsung reeeee". It was just a bad chip and Qualcomm made it better. What makes you think that can't possibly be a thing for 888 and 8 Gen1 ? Or are you going to whine about Samsung foundries again?

Ahamad, 26 Jul 2022Quality process fab ???No, it says nothing about it. Without specific knowledge of the architecture and layout of exact chip it says absolutely nothing. You would have to make one specific CPU on both processes to compare it, but that's not available at the moment.

It's not the first time Qualcomm had poorly performing chips. But everyone now just says "TSMC rocks, Samsung bad reeeeeeeeeeeeee" even though it's Qualcomm that really made the chip better for SD 8+ Gen1 and isn't as much TSMC as Qualcomm itself that made it better.
