Asus Zenfone 9 unveiled: still small, but faster, longer lasting and with a better camera

There is no larger Flip model, at least not this year. But for fans of small phones, this is one of the few Android flagship options.

    some miss
    - lack of in display fingerprint reader, bummer for those with sweaty hands (last year they had it, but missing this year, cost cutting???)
    - lack of telephoto, especially because it costs 800€, a 3x like the s22 would have been perfect
    - 2 year software update is for midrange phones like red i and the oneplus nord... cmon asus!

    kudos for the 4,300 mah battery though with such a small screen, unlike samsung 3,800 mah with even a slightly bigger screen

                  And I think we need more smaller phones with flagship specs.

                  There are no competitors. Not a single android phone with flaship specs, less that 6" and less than 70mm width.

                        It seems that the Smartphone was good, now a version with 512 gb should come, the 256 is already very beaten.

                          That's a speculation. It will depend on a lot of things, we don't know yet. If specs were sales indicator, iPhones would never reach to 4th.

                            I was gonna get this for my wife as it ticks most of her boxes except...

                            ...it needed a microSD card slot or at least a 512GB version. Oh well.

                                    I'm definitely a fan of its colour scheme and wordings on the back, it has a very distinct mecha vibe that I'm deeply fond of (much better than pointless "100/120x zoom" or whatever the wacky crap that other companies love to write).

                                    The overall shape definitely draws some inspiration from Xperia and Huawei/Honor, but to me that's a good thing since I like their design especially that of Xperia.
