Also we sell it on contracts.....so its around 300eur.
The used phone market is pretty much a mess where I live, except for iphones.

oneplus is full of bugs and fixes are coming slowly and they became bloody expensive.

Faster updates(they get updates but it's quiet slow and I am okay with that) and little bit improvement in camera post processing. They will be back in top 5.

South America and Africa are too poor in general to make place for huge smartphone numbers. And this won't change for at least next 3 decades. Northern hemisphere makes about 90 % of all smartphone sales.

Galaxy S Series get newest Android upgrade version 1-2 months after Pixel. That is november in the same year of launching.
Even Galaxy A5x series get new Android version sooner than other flagship from random chinese brands.
I'm typing this from my Galaxy A51 from 2019 with Android 12.

Why pay almost the double for upgrade to actually do downgrade?
Why would anyone pay $500 for A53 when you can get used S21 for $400 in pristine condition with warranty or
Xiaomi Mi lite NE, Poco F3, A52s, S20FE, everything for less than $300...nowdays phones lose value too fast and with these prices, new phones aren't worth at all.

Well lets see how much Samsung would have sold had they not pushed all the incentives. It's good to know that unless they fo that they can't sell, cause hopefully S23 will make sense to buy!

Many may disagree with me but the fact that Samsung and Apple are the first two is due to their products not being able to last.
I still see many people holding on to Huawei flagship from 4 to 5 years ago in pristine condition. Apple and Samsung users either with old faulty phones or the newest.

Population != people buying phones
Just because there's a lot of people in a country/continent, doesn't mean everyone there buys phones. Most of them have better things to spend the money on like food and shelter.
