Nothing Phone (1) drop test: the front is tougher than the back

The phone has Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back and an aluminum frame in the middle.

    The back of the Nothing (1) isn't flat, the camera protrudes, so putting a screen protector on the back is a non-starter.

          Just use a clear gel phone case with your shiny new phone and don't repeatedly drop it directly on concrete. Ultimately something has to give. Nice close-ups of the Nothing Phone (1). A really beautifully designed phone!

Best phone I've had, that said I'm on the lookout for my next phone. Watching what Nothing comes up with next. The Nothing 1 isn't going to cut it for me. Looking for something comprable to my 7pro. Oneplus is not what it was anymore, but I'm on the lookout for the 10T. I'm happy to wait another year as I'm not all in on today's selection. I'm NOT an apple guy or Sammy either. I have time, android 12 is coming which will give me another year or more to see what's out there. Cheers

                I've got a Supcase on my Oneplus 7pro that's 3+years old and it's not yellow at all!!! I certainly didn't want to cover up my beautiful Nubia Blue back:)

TPU material always becomes yellow over time from skin moisture and oils as you're holding the phone. It's expected outcome. I like transparent ones the most because the phone looks the same on the outside, it's just tiny bit thicker and that's it. Some have really tight fit which is a plus, compared to plastic ones which have annoying edges and don't have tight fit.

                          That's kinda expected. Front is laminated glass, rear is a single sheet of tempered glass that has gaps between glass and the phone's internals.

                            There is some serious obsession with this phone and gsma. Either you're obsessed or they're paying you.

                              Glass is glass, but also glass is premium. For every non glass back, hordes of premium lovers and tech reviewers will rant and say how cheap that phone is and how they should have gone with glass.

                              Thank you Sony for the plastic back on my Xperia 10 IV.

                                Just look at OnePlus now. I actually feel sorry for the old time fans of this brand. I know a guy who is really sad about their latest approach. He bought only OnePlus phones, starting from the first model. Now he is planning to switch for the first time (I think in 6-7 years).
                                But, this is what happens when you trust too much a company. Which in the end is just a business, nothing more (no pun intended).

                                  I think it held up well. I'm disappointed - I was looking forward to seeing it obliterated.
