I've had many high end phones and until I got iPhone, they never really felt properly premium. They were always light feeling, flimsy feeling in hand, with weird uneven micro gaps between display and chassis that got even worse over time as phone was experiencing different bending forces in pockets, buttons felt mellow to the press or they even rattled inside the housing becase metal buttons were loose between the actual button inside and the metal side. Or how I was blown away by the Home button on cousin's old iPhone 7 (I've had Huawei Ascend P7 back then which was their flagship). It felt clickable like it's a physical button that moves yet it was just a flat piece of glass that doesn't even move. It was the most mind blowing experience ever. It's stuff like this that makes you amazed and is what one would call premium, not 8K display at 6" that makes no sense other than looking spectacular on paper, but in use, it's just another display that doesn't really blow me away.

Your phone isn't gonna catch fire overnight because you're not running the latest version.

"Cheap feel" lol. Is this a term invented by tech reviewers? I don't think being able to survive drops can be considered cheap. The moveaway from plastic screens (look at the Moto Z2...) was heavily influenced by those quacking "waaah not premium!!!" aka MKBHD, Dave and others.
Premium is literally a premium word, it matters much less than they would like you to believe. And of course, Apple and other companies like to profit off this.
As for the rest of your comment, you really seem like you're a fan of the company and not of the product. What you said is a bad thing because it allows Apple to capitalize on their ecosystem with the intent of pushing anti-competitive practices. I still can't believe they don't have legal problems over the whole WebKit agenda. Honestly, they should be banned from forcing their tech views on the average consumer.

If software support was a thing I'd care about (and I do) I'd buy another iPhone in a heartbeat. It's THAT good and makes all the Android phones I've used in last 12 years look like unfunny joke. If premium feel when holding a phone was a thing, I'd also buy an iPhone again.
The way their phones have heft, the way all buttons feel, the way how everything is machined to perfection, the way haptic feedback feels, the way speakers sound (it seriously goes easily against JBL Go, a dedicated BT speaker). And I only have the "budget" version of iPhone, the XR model. I'm sure other brands with high end models do too, but this is just something you always expect and get from an iPhone, for all others, it's often a hit or miss. Like how Zenfone 9 has a cheap feel because of plastic back or how Galaxy S22 series were universally criticized for having weak haptic feedback because they change the motor's axis design. These are just things you never see on iPhones and I can look at this for years back in time. People like that reliability of form and function and when something works well for them, they keep returning.

It is their c... more"Nothing"... nevermind the industry leading software support and actual ecosystem that works really well (seamless almost everything across iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches). Why you people always just read the spec sheet and start assuming things just because numbers are bigger on paper?
Android phones look great on paper, but basically don't work with anything else and they are anything but seamless even if you can connect things which are usually super fiddly or just don't work well. People like that and it's why they stick around "walled garden jail" as you all like to call it. Guess what, only "walled garden jail" can achieve things like this, because it's all tightly integrated. Downside is that it doesn't work with things outside of that. Which is an expected outcome.

If you connect the dots between the Huawei / ZTE ban, China's bad rap and US carriers making it ridiculously hard for some manufacturers to sell their flagships, you can notice that some sort of market manipulation is definitely going on that favours Apple.

Not that it matters to me cause I already have an iPhone 13 Pro but man... this is one of the many reasons why I hate politics. Everything is just so fake and greed+pride (regardless of nation) is ruining it for everyone.

Samsung actually dont sell most expensive Android phone (it's Vertu), but is recognizable as the most popular brand in the world like Apple.

Anyways for Windows even for gamers thanks to crypto mining the graphics cards prices went up like to 3000-4000 euro and there are people who have then 2-3 in there computer
Thanks to these prices these Mac's probably also reached to 5 digits in price cause they need to get a lot of profit as you dont really build your own mac with different parts like you do with windows desktop computers

Also custom seat cover only probably dont cost over 3 digits too. If your going for full interior with sound system then your probably looking for the 5k range but that means full interior will be custom made that takes like a year to do it

Samsung Displays doesn't exist to babysit Samsung Mobile division. Only thing they both report back to Samsung HQ is making profits with increases year over year. The usual corporate stuff. If Samsung Displays division can sell best of the best in huge quantities to everyone, why would they hold back lol? To sell them to Samsung Mobile division so they have the best displays and only sell them 50 million instead of 300 million units? Those Galaxy S models will sell regardless if latest iPhones have same panels as latest Galaxy S models. But display panels won't sell on their own in 300 million units if you only keep it as exclusive component for Galaxy S models.
Samsung Displays and Samsung Mobile are two independent divisions of Samsung. They do what brings the most profits and this is what makes the most profit. For both. Especially when it's two entirely different and opposing segments, Android phones and iPhones. An Apple user won't suddenly rush to buy galaxy S model just because Samsung Mobile has exclusivity for best of the best displays there is currently. And neither would Android phone users do the opposite and rush for an iPhone. So, from point of Samsung Mobile division, it's entirely irrelevant thing.
It's just baffling you're so loud here yet don't understand something this basic.
