It's pro-----da when you "defend" with ridiculously skewed statements or outright lies.
Outright ban of competitors' wares just because they operate more efficiently and are simply more successful (this is completely different from Huawei who remains the Party's prized pet and feeds from the Party's hands) without even an attempted accusation of dumping (which would fail laughably in this case anyway) is textbook protectionism.

There r good reason to ban Chinese Phones apart from promoting Indian Brands. Their softwares are downright dubious they twist Android in ways that a common user won't be able to skip ads or fall into data stealing traps. Like the get apps store on mi have so much shady apps. Miui keep forcing u to install from getapps even if u set Google Play as default. Then there's the whole national safety fact. U literally putting money in the hands of a dictator & spineless people who can't oppose such a regime. We can already see the geo political implications of that. As for people complaining on Quality... Just give Indian brands some time they don't have proper R&D as of now. If u see Samsung phones back in 2010s u'll see how bad those were in there initial state. As foe Chinese low cost phones. U should understand they sell such phones even taking losses just to dominate the market & cripple the competition. They r backed by money from Chinese Govt for this purpose. As for Quality if u study a little tech ull understand these days Budget Chinese phones qualities are also pretty bad. My suggestion buy a budget samsung it's just a few compromises for much better future.

This is not the way out. Locals should embrace quality, or be ready to be perished in competition.

So they want a phone that is reliable and at the same time which they can use atleast for 2 years.

Now none availability is the only factor that is pushing ppl to go for Chinese cheaper phone like India buying Russian oil because it is cheaper and more economic.

If that is fine then this is also fine...

I know there is lot of politics, global power, economics and all but the bottom line is that ppl want to survive and meet there requirements.

India and Pakistan also have dispute but India didn't ban trade with Pakistan. It's Pakistan who stopped trade with India.
India doesn't ban trade with any country (even with China). It's simply a decision to revive local smartphone manufacturer. It's that simple.

You are right about scaring companies from countries with which we have "geopolitical issues". Only two countries in this world should worry about that. Companies from other countries have been and will keep doing their business in India without any issues.
