Samsung to keep the physical home button on the Galaxy S IV

13 February, 2013
The report also suggests the Galaxy S IV will have some sort of non-touch gestures.

AnonD-70018, 13 Feb 2013Good to hear at least one other phone maker has sense. Capa... moreAgree re. capacitive buttons. Accidental Google now swipes and hitting back are one of the most annoying thing about it. Samsung and Apple are right to keep a single button on board to eliminate that. On the Lumia, it's hitting the capacitive search key by accident all the time that sucks.

This is how you make the best hardware suck. Android might be on top thanks to Samsung, but also thanks to them, most Android users aren't benefitting fully from it.

Every phone series was for one year life cycle only.

That's lame but not surprising since Samsung's design is going to the wrong direction lately, not to mention the material quality...

There way well have been a few advanced prototypes floating around, some with physical keys and others will all on screen navigation, just to test how things work in the real world. But I guess now Samsung have made the call, are finalizing the software and starting the test production runs.

Good to hear at least one other phone maker has sense. Capacitive buttons are annoying, too easy to accidentally press. All phone buttons should be physical ones :/
