I have just ordered a new phone which I pick up in 12 hours time. She is fed up with iPhone. So I decided to buy her a Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G 8G + 256GB.
I was tempted with the Poco range... And even Oppo... But this trumped considering the price was so cheap.
So many people I know dumping iPhones. And for gaming. They are nothing compared to my K50G with official metal case and cooler.
Seriously. On CODM I literally will be running circles round iPhone users...
Another thing... The 8GEN1 is very very good in my K50G. The cooling systems are awesome. And all this A15 being better... It's not actually. The memory bandwidth is 20% more than the A15. Compensating for the lower multicore scores. Therefore equates to almost equal. Although the single core score appears more in the A15. But only because the die size is 30% bigger. So if a 1:1 die size ratio. 8GEN1 is slightly higher...
But the GPU on the 8GEN1.... Wow. A15 killer. No A15 comes near me... On CODM. You will not last the game...

They haven't failed, it's just that companies have these grand expectations that maximize their profits into infinity and small phones never ever meet those expectations. I'm sure small phones still sell in large enough number that they would be still making profit, even if not huge.

Your phone is still good and gets updates so no need to upgrade it imo.. but if you want a small phone buy a 13 mini that has better battery life and keep it for a while and hope there will be a 16 mini or something 🤷♂️ Asus Zenfone 9 is also an option but I doubt you'll get the same software support as from your iPhone.. sorry to tell you but small phones are dead (which I personally love 😅) since Apple tried and failed - Note20 Ultra user

If you're not a hardcore user (streamer, gamer, HD video-taking), that compromise in battery life might be a good trade-off for a more compact size of phone.

I’m finding it so difficult to upgrade my Mini 12. Its the first phone I’ve had for 2 yrs and still enjoy using it.

I think it's just broken post moderation system paired with salty fanboys reporting people with opposing opinions and then the broken auto moderation system just auto removes those posts because reports threshold has been met. Can't think of why actual moderators would do such a thing.

That’s unfortunate, but it just not secure enough with that older face ID tech, i have 13 Pro so the brief moment i actually used it with mask it worked perfectly, so very nice from Apple to make it work and now it will work in future if something like this happens again.

Not true at all, usually when i look my screen it is already unlocked. Face ID works from surprisingly wide angles and you can also remove the need of eye contact when it works even from wider angles. I don’t know when you have used Face ID last time, but it has improved lot from the iPhone X especially with the angles. Also why it would even be problem to work only when you look screen, don’t you usually look your screen when you want to use it? 😅

I use Face ID and fingerprint scanner daily and wish my iPad would have Face ID too. Things which happens automaticly with my iPhone i always need to register the fingerprint with iPad. But luckily my next iPad will have Face ID too. It’s just so nice when things happens automaticly!
