That'll is something every one should get

Adding screen protector gel cases with bumper guards on the case help

It's unfortunate the tech industry thinks glass screen is superior to plastic screens 🙄

Glass can be smashed easily and no matter how much it has been improved there's always that one person who always drops there phones and still breaks them

plastic just doesn't break in same way or share them kinda problems and should of been improved instead

Gorilla glass still breaks easily if dropped and gets is so easy to damage

Says your keys can't starch it only diamonds can
H9 hardness screen protector has stretch marks on it even so phone keep inside padded tissue bag and never been dropped

Real world usable and testing in a lab are 2 very different things

some people are clumsy and drop and break phones all the time even the most tough rugged phone are not as strong as you think they are

Other people are careful and have phones last for year's and generally aware of how there holding there phones

I never seen a phone even a mouth old in perfect condition
      Without any stretch at all

Always at least very faint stretch when look at closely

Scratching is usually from sand... keys wont scratch glass but dirty keys will. New jeans often have grit from sand and stone washing. ...its the sand people.

I see nothing special about Gorilla glass. It scratches when in your pocket with keys. If your fone accidentally falls out of your hand Gorilla glass cracks. So there's nothing special about Gorilla glass 3,4,5 or whatever number.

Anonymous, 16 Aug 2022But plastic has self healing technology.. glass dont.. plas... moreNo it doesn't "heal" itself no matter how much they advertise it. Also good luck "buffing" painted plastics. Only plastics that can be buffed are solid color ABS or other similar polycarbonates that are of same color through entire material thickness, where it doesn't matter how much you take it off with buffing, it's still same color. Basically you shave away a layer of plastic. Again, that just doesn't work with painted and lacquered plastics.

Glass is not perfect since it can break, but at least it doesn't get scratched from wooden table or jeans pocket after just 1 encounter. I'd take that any time over shatter resistance because such scenarios happen far more often than glass breaking. Which in my case, never happened in last 22 years and that also includes plastic phones which still had glass underneath that could break (the actual display panel) and people did manage to break those too on rare occasions.

Been using plastic things for long enough I know that. I'm just surprised you don't. Also no, no matter what kind of polymer you use, it scratches instantly. Polycarbonates are one of hardest plastics. Go on, wipe it with the softest cotton cloth you can find. Go on. It'll scratch instantly. Now imagine what happens in a jeans pocket... it's also cotton you know...

and 15 years of screen cracked once drop.

so what is supposedly special bout this company again?

All plastics at MOHs 2 that is OBJECTIVELY incorrect

                      Acrylic/plexi go at around 4-5

Point is that plastics are Versatile and are a better investment to pursue scratch resistant Vs not being broken in the case of class

You can't call BS on "self healing" scratch of the material can refill dents then that's useful no problem with you disagreeing with that but try to give some real points why you disagree

Then again you can do whatever you please I suppose

IpsDisplay, 15 Aug 2022Even though we can manipulate polymers to even make Kraft c... moreThere is no such thing as scratch resistant plastic and whole "self healing" plastics is whole load of BS. I mean, glass that's from 5-7 on MOH's scale gets scratched from random things as you normally use phone. All plastics get scratched at just level 2. And while MOH's scale isn't quite applicable for non mineral materials (Vickers HV scale is preferable), it still shows a massive difference in scratch resistance regardless (as it can easily be observed in any JRE's video). You can then extrapolate how much faster plastics get damaged compared to glass under normal wear conditions if there is such massive divide in hardness between plastics and glass.

also 15 year's of standard glass protection on top of gorilla glass

Even though we can manipulate polymers to even make Kraft cheese to bullet proof equipment

Somehow people think it is a good idea to choose the development of glass for glass back phones

People really think it's easier to make break resistant glass over scratch resistant plastic??

Kyocera has self healing plastic back phones...

Meanwhile glass back can cost up to 300 dollars to repair

And if you want to argue feels premium.. plastic can be made as dense and feel exactly the same

What about thermal conductivity.. once again we can also make.plastics thermally friendly

Worried about the environment ok we can make it biodegradable too

You have glass fiber enhanced plastic etc etc

Ahh gorilla glass good for the front of the phone

But it's one of those things younger generations will look back and ask

-Why were people obsessed with feels premium?
-Why did people defend glass backs and accepted being charged up to $300 dollars to repair it

Why did manufacturers pursue scratch resistant plastic seeing that plastic is inherently more versatile polymer
And is much easier to be scratch resistant than glass is to resist breaking?

I dunno younger generation people were just stupid

We can make plastic bullets proof and even heat compliant but the geniuses still think plastic isn't worthwhile and doesn't feel premium

even though you can make plastic as dense and feel exactly like glass SMH

In maximum one week the screen is pretty scratched. I thought my ol' s8 was scratching very easy, but GG Victus is really just a trashy BS overhype
The last great GG was the 4th one. Man, back then, I dropped the galaxy a5 2 meters on smooth concrete and not even a scratch.
