AnonD-731363, 14 Aug 2022$250 Ace 3 has IP68 + victus on screen. €1200 xiaomi 12 ... moreExcuses to justify a fact a phone sold for over 100% margin lacks stuff that costs almost nothing.

Dust is gonna enter the phone though the speakers and usb (lame usb 2.0) , overheat the device , then you have more dead motherboard like 11 series had.
LG was crucified for same things (g3/g4), xiaomi gets free pass.

Many people misunderstood Gorilla glass to be unbreakable glass which can survive though many fall, remember basically it still glass can still breakable.

First idea Gorilla glass come because steve jobs at that times need searching glass that can strong enough to survive from scratch, because the first prototype of iPhone screen can scratch badly when put in pocket with cars keys, so Apple contact Corning about glass and then they make first Gorilla Glass.

€1200 xiaomi 12 pro does not. Profit margin of over $800 but cant spend $40-50 on it?

Man xiaomi 12 pro if i buy 9H screen protector friom alliexpress for 0,50 cents and a waterproof case for 1,50 eur i get same results for 2 eur no need to pay 50 more for something i can have 48 erus cheaper.

What you trying to say with your statement???
Costly gimmick are always replacable if people know how.
But world is full of lazy people who rather spend 500 more for having all in than buy a cheap and order other usefull things via internet which will cost lot of their time but not as much money.

Man you funny excuss like what???
Companies do it many years like reason to not put charger in box, reason for sealed batteries, reason for no micro sd slot, reason for no earphones and jack etc.
What do you trying to say??? Explain your self.

IP ingress is also against dust. You do not complain 12S Ultra has it.
The upcoming 12T Pro (850 euros in Europe) should have everything best. Man i dont need to complain every single upcoming device. Many of them does not sell here in Slovakia so why i should??? And the IPXX rating is just useless gimmick regardless of device.
Only Catterpilar, Sonim Brand and suimmilar ones which are naturaly made to whitstand everything. Regular phones IP rating is joke.

QR code is much easier to be used to spy on phones.
Man not everybody is a tech geek.

NFC = I can connect headphones just touch the phone, no need to turn on/off bluetooth all the time. It is not just payment. Well maybe you right but there arent many exceptions and mostly is for payment and for that case i rather draw and swipe my card.

And man wrong first wireless charging came with Nokia 920 and it was called Qi charging back in September 2012. It ghavent any NFC at that time.

How come Apple no longer use branded glass, just generic "Scratch Resistant" glass? I just got an iPad Air and the glass is really thin, cheap and poor quality. Even looks wavy when you see a reflection.

i repaired phones for two years
and in my experience amoled breaks more quickly than oled.

phones glass that dont have at least gorilla glass 5 also break much more quickly.
people buy screenprotectors for non gorilla phones and they break so easy.

iphone probably use reasonable quality protective glass, but due to the curves in the glass the glass also broke more quickly.

lastly, most third party repair shops sell so called original replacement screens for samsung/etc but what they do is they buy refurbished screens to make 30% more profit.

refurbished screens are original lcd/oled panel that had broken screens, with a very breakable third party glass on top.

People keep saying just use a screen protector or a case or something but what's the point of putting those if the Gorilla glass can protect the phone ? Because it can't. Glass is glass and it breaks. It doesn't even matter what version or brand of tough glass manufacturers put on their phones

The phone I had for the longest time was my old Nokia bar phone from 2010 or something. I used it without problems for a few years, until smartphones became mainstream so had to get one myself but the Nokia was quite durable, it just became old but didn't break. Meanwhile, the so called smartphones of today are such a disappointment. I bought some smartphone once, it fell on the ground from barely 4 feet and the screen broke. The repair was quite expensive too
