Ioannis , 19 Aug 2022No Mate 20 x replacement yet. Yep. Standard fare resolution + aspect ratio + size, really curved screens, very average battery capacity. Those who were tentatively waiting for a 50 X are in for their illusions. Time to move on from Huawei. What a shame. They truly lost the plot on this one.

sayabosanhidup, 19 Aug 2022hoping for an at least 10x optical zoom and 100x digital z... morei tried a p50 pro against s21 ultra and you'd be amazed to find out huawei is doing better in zoom area because of a larger sensor, better AI, good pic at any range unlike samsung, zoom is better than samsung's in 4 out of 5 situations so don't fall for 3.5x optic vs 10x optic of samsung, samsung uses big numbers and low quality sensors

I find it strange that the pro models have a lower screen resolution than the standard model.
I am also disappointed that the pro uses a better sensor as I want a flat screen.
I hope the aperture from 1.4-4 means there's also an intermediate option of 2.8 as f4 would be a 35mm equivalent of f16.
My pet peeves of Huawei remain, the curved screens and non standard screen resolution.

Why there's no Mate 50 X??? Because of the Samsung galaxy "Note" series has been completely dead so Huawei will follow what Samsung did to put the end of the series???
