Just look at Samsung they had to release update for phone which wasnt getting anything past year.
In case of Nokia the Nokia 9 pureview was pretty awesome same for nokia 8 line. Even most of 7 were pretty good i have to say.
Sony is another good examople with updates.
And when comes to phones most people care more for specs than updates.
If you dont update your phone or apps is not a big issue.
Many people using their phones for most basic things anyway. Especialy people above 50.

Started with android 7 and got 9 plus nice security patches one more year like many other phones of that time and era.
Nowdays every phone gets the same and most gets 3 years of updates and 4 years of security patches motorola too.

Motorola is promising 1 OS update and 3 years security updates to the latest G82, so its safe to assume all earlier G models will be getting only 1 OS update too. The Edge 30 is getting 2 OS updates, so that is already an improvement over the G models.
Overall, Motorola still lagging behind Samsung but not exactly the worst in Android world. Sony is worse with its 2 OS updates and 3 years security because Sony phones are selling at much higher pricepoint than Motorolas.

As for Nothing, they just released their first phone. So, how do you know they are good with software? Just because they put out 2-3 bugs fixing updates in a short time, doesn’t mean they will have a good software update policy down the line.
And Nokia, did Nokia or let’s say HMD, released any good phone in the past 2 years? I doubt it. So, I don’t think it matters what software update policy they have. If their hardware is nonexistent.
Of course, I am not saying that only Apple, Samsung or Google phones are worth buying. But if you want and need good software update policy, those are pretty much the only ones that do that right now.
If people are not interested in software updates, there are plenty of Chinese phones with nice specs and good prices. But this are 1-2 years usage phones.

Is this the same Motorola that gave 4.4, 5.0 and 5.1 to Motorola Moto G which launched with 4.3? They have ruined their update policy after joining Lemovo.

Any phones that already received 1 upgrade won't get Android 13, meaning all Motorola phones that were launched with Android 11 won't get 13. That's their policy.

My Motorola Razr 5G never even got 12. LOL. That's cute, Motorola. Still has the worst update among Android OEMs. But I personally don't want Android 12.

Really hope the Edge 20 Pro gets added, it's only a year old. On my 6th Moto now after two Oneplus phones which both became faulty. Best budget brand for quality

Hey Guys be patient knowing your phone is not on the list doesnt mean it wont get android update.
They just listed new phones and those from last year or 2020 will be there too just wait a while.
