Optional, 24 Aug 2022I replyed to a guy who blindly believed Sony marketing and ... moreI read the conversation and that's not how it went. The device didn't live up to the name, price tag, or what you fans slays claim. Not just not living up to all the hype but years behind current and more affordable competition.
And the person wasn't happy for that.
And your response was to say they should research better. Blaming them for the utter let down of Sony shrouded in lies.
When even if they did most places would be filled with people like you saying there's no issues and Sony is prefect and the phone is flawless.

Dude, 25 Aug 2022I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues. They ... moreMaybe you're not a power user or you have old apps.
Google Play Store apps updated after Nov 2021 must use Google's crippled SAF system. The microSD card stops working or the phone boot loops if you attempt to disable SAF on the command line because Sony removed the older driver. If you activate adoptable storage on the command line as a workaround, file management completely breaks because Sony didn't include support files for that either (missing mountpoint and symlink). Some other phone makers have provided means to bypass Google's SAF.
Not having SA 5G really hurts if you're on T-Mobile. There are certain patterns of channel aggregations that provide the best possible throughput and stability. Sony's invalid 5G configuration causes constant cellular drops, including what appears to be getting kicked off the tower for misuse. As I said, you can check cacombos.com for the phone's own report of cellular features. The app NetMonster can decode some non-root diagnostics too. The 5G bands that Sony advertises for the US model are effectively disabled by putting them into a non-functioning configuration.
These aren't things that anyone can debug or fix with a factory reset. The support is intentionally missing from the factory. I can only guess that there was licensing involved and Sony didn't want to pay another $5 or whatever.
The phone can be fixed with rooting but Sony doesn't support that either. Developers are having problems with Sony not meeting their open source obligations for the Linux components. As a result, third party ROMs are only partially working.
I have a real camera so I won't bother with long rants about all the camera defects on the 1 III. Again, those faults are in the hardware and firmware so there's no end-user workaround.
The Xperia 1 III isn't a new phone. Sony could have fixed most problems by now if quality or reputation was a concern.

I said to him that he should do a resarch abut device he's buying because everyone already knows what to expect from Xperia about Night mode. I just gave an advice to do a resarch on device hes buying because Xperia 1 and 5 series don't have dedicated Night mode like almost every smartphone today. What is unlogic about that? Did I been rude to anyone? I don't think so. I'm not attacking anyone here. I can't see the problem, can you please help me understand? In polite way if possible.
Peace out!

If you was too change kernels and custom Rom and overclock it and change cpu settings for it too use all 8 cores together, that is like a super zippy super fast phone. Anything you do or press will be instantaneous very fast, the drawback it will consume battery, the 4500mah will be 3500mah
I have my Sony pro_i rooted

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2022You are litteralky making unnecessary non factual rambles b... moreOK I understand coming of an age is a difficult and yet great time period of a life. We've all been there. I was just trying to reason with you even though I am totally aware you are super biased and have an agenda here. My point was to try to steer you from manufacturer marketing crap as a point of argument because it's really a weak point to begin with. Super bright displays 1000+ nits mean nothing much like camera megapixels, as a matter of fact it can only damage your eyes and introduce eye strain more than it will serve you any benefits. That's why most displays hang around 300 to 500 nits in everyday situation.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2022No you simply dogged on someone for actually believing the ... moreWhat are you talking about? Do you think I'm a Xperia fan boy? Jesus... I am aware that Xperia shoot very flat "natural" pics and they don't use software processing like others. What does it means for Night mode? Well everything! If I want from a phone to do some stuff I would firstly check in few articles, people opinions and YouTube testings. That guy obviuosly didn't do that, he could say many things with he was dissapointed and he be probablly ve right but not for that mentioned Night mode, so in fact he's the one who blindly believed in Sony marketing. I didn't say a single word about Xperia but if someone say anything near positive here comes the hate. I'm not even using Sony phone. Sure I like their concept, but I'm not completley sold on everything they have to offer. They have some issues or missing thing that are important for me, so Xperias are not for me, at least until they sort it up. I just said be wiser next time. I didn't say all phones sucks and Xperia is the best. There you go.
Peace out !
