I had a flagship series Xiaomi 12 though and in July it was still on the March security patch so it is every bit as bad for updates. Having said that who cares if a phone is a few months behind on security updates. Won't make any difference if you get it 3 months later. The next update usually brings you to the security update for the previous month anyway. The overall software experience and optimisation is what is the most important thing

The Android Freak, 27 Aug 2022I am Motorola user. I am sharing experiences here. Trust if... moreHad a Motorola Edge 30 for about 2 weeks. Stock Android is so boring. And the way it looks, I am not a fan of that Ui.
Also, Motorola is the worse of all when it comes to updates. In 2 weeks that I have that phone not a single update received (not even 50Mb). And at the end of July I was in 1st April security update. Even when I had some budget Realme or Xiaomi phones in the past, I received 2-3 updates in the first month or so.
I know some people that are in August security update with some budget phones from Xiaomi (2022 models).
Long gone are the days when Stock Android was the best around. Because all the other Android skins where laggy and full of bugs. Now, even a 300EUR phone (with fairly decent specs), from Realme or Xiaomi can work very nice in day to day tasks.
Motorola phones or Pixel phones are good, if someone absolutely likes how Stock Android looks. And hates all other skins. For everything else, there are far better phones out there at better prices.
