People can still use old hardware just fine, it will be slower since newer software will ask for higher hardware requitements. 🤦♂️

He used to think that usual rock music is the epitome of music technicality. Then I showed him progressive and technical bands. Anyways beside all he's a huge tech nerd and a skilled guy but mediocre at basic engineering knowledge. You might be informed from him for nine months and the reason of being not properly informed lol.

SShock, 30 Aug 2022I didn't "just look it up", this is known fo... moreYou don't know anything about it. Let alone knowing it for months. And learn the difference about discoursing and supporting something. It was official back then but was just a statement like Microsoft did for Windows 11. Which needed tmp chips but terminated by saying any system with security version 2 can use w11. Same for avx512 for Intel recent chips. Cpu without e cores support avx512 just like before. There is no hassle, even for PCMR guys like me disabling e cores. Their statement kind of half dead today. So your comment about these was entirely misleading in the first place. You can't reply with facts this just making things for you've said wrong before.
And surely and certainly light years more giga expert than any Apple guy. No wonder you're an Apple cry.
Want prove go check each reply from the location where called you out for your each comment I read before. And you'll find the last reply was always from me.

rizki1, 30 Aug 2022super powerful but they can't make 10W TDP?Different cpu for different market, if you need 10w cpu look for Ryzen Embebed series, something like Athlon silver 3050E has Tdp of 6W.

i3 1220p is faster than M1, Ryzen 7 5700U etc
i3 1215u is faster than almost all 15w cpu from intel released before it.
Even pentium 8505 is faster than 10th gen or below i7, and has better single core perfomance than i9 9900k.
Pair i3 alderlake and Nvidia mx550 you get solid working machine which can do 99% of workload including gaming.

Anonymous , 30 Aug 2022You didn't do any homework before making the comment. ... moreI didn't "just look it up", this is known for months. Stop pretending you're some kind of genius on this matter. AVX-512 is NOT officially supported on Alder Lake and upcoming Raptor Lake and it's even discouraged by Intel itself and support for fiddling with E cores is highly dependent on individual board vendor. If you want to go through trouble of buying a CPU with tons of cores and then disable half of them just for AVX-512 which 90% of users don't even need, then be my guess. Just stop pretending you're some sort of mega expert here. Coz you're not.

SShock, 30 Aug 2022Erm, I've done my "homework". AVX-512 is NOT... moreYou didn't do any homework before making the comment. Yeah may you had to look it up after my reply. Still in full of confusions. Your previous comment was totally misleading like saying their consumer products don't support avx512 but obviously some certain p cores only cpu does. Because Intel didn't physically fuse them off. And nothing is official even rn. Because they have two microarchitectures based cpu when folks can disable one. And totally p core based cpu. So you were not informed enough before replying the other guy.
And irony is you shamelessly said that you know what you're saying. Yeah like saying fully against what you've told before. Lol
Try again.

Then Intel released 12th gen and turned the whole cpu market by 180 degree. Although they had better price to performance low end cpu since 10th gen, like the 10100f was a budget king then.

But in general era's are shrinking and shrinking
So this ideas of lasting 30-50 years just doesn't make sense in modern times
Look at the farming age it lasted hundreds of years.. then the industrial age/ era etc each one shrinking exponentially
With how fast things are changing boy I just can't see that decades standard returning

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2022At least do some homework before making a comment. Only the... moreErm, I've done my "homework". AVX-512 is NOT officially supported by Intel itself on any hybrid core design CPU's at the moment. Intel only lists AVX-2 for 12900K on Intel's ARK, you can look it up if you want. I'm pretty sure Intel knows what they make and support. You can get AVX-512 by disabling E-cores because OS logic cannot differentiate between P and E cores for AVX-512 load and it's all down to willingness of motherboard manufacturers to include settings for it in BIOS, if at all. Which is entirely down to them as Intel discourages such functionality by default. No need to try educating me when I well know what I'm talking about.

Only the E-cores which use the Gracemont microarchitecture don't have the hardware to process AVX-512, while the P-cores which use the Golden Cove microarchitecture have the hardware to support AVX-512. By saying that some certain Alder Lake and future Raptor Lake cpus (cpus with P-cores only) will support AVX-512 because Intel didn't physically fuse them off.
