What about using the 8 plus body? The whole point of the SE was for people who needed a home button or older people who needed to upgrade. I get using the newer design but I think it'll miss with the older generation who need the home button. I think the 8 plus design would be perfect or if apple does use the xr design maybe still have the home button below and a notch on top. I know that adds a big chin but I still think it would be better than the current 4.7 screen on the current gen

Iphone Xr has bigger bezels than my anxiety.
But, I doubt that Apple will release an iPhone "Mini" like phone (with nice Oled screen, small bezels), call it SE, and price it at 400€. Lol, never in a million years.

I wish there was an iPhone xs size with only one, but upgraded camera, smaller notch, type-c and hybrid touch id in lock screen button with face id, I'll be happy with either variants of security mechanism actually. Still thinking that XS is the best iPhone that was launched. In terms of size and features.

Maybe in year 2050 or 2060 it will be good enough for apple to implement it but until then they stick whats most suitable for them.

Yes the smaller phones for one hand use were great in some aspects but holding your phone in both hands make i safer for use.
And another think is such a small screen like 4,7 inch or less wasnt much good for typing.
Typing o such a small screen with such small letters was diussaster for people with thick hands and fingers.
Also most people above age 50 found it tiny letters too small to read.
So once again small form of a phone had it pros or plus but compared to cons and minues phones of a present era are way and miles better than phones of decade ago.

If the rumor's true then it's gonna be the most popular iPhone globally for sure.
I know plenty of people that want an iPhone, but don't want the tiny current SE, or to shell out a grand for a phone.

They slap latest chipset in it because they don't make A12 Bionic anymore, but they don't change anything else because that would induce additional costs.
I'm currently still on XR and the thing is really good. I don't even consider 60Hz display and single camera as negative. It works so smoothly you don't particularly miss 90 or 120Hz refresh and for camera, you just point and shoot. No thinking if you shoul duse wide or ultra wide or something else. It's just snappy snap and it makes decent photos. With NeuralCam, you can also give it night shooting capability and it does make pretty good photos regardless.
I just kinda worry they'll jack up the price further because it's significantly better device than iPhone 8 design was and also has FaceID which is amazing piece of tech.

Some commentators aren’t getting it: Make it an XR design with punch hole of with two cameras,…For their affordable phone, Apple take the exact same design of a previous model and fill it with new internals. Camera also remains the same.
But I guess I would be ready for a bigger phone by then. My hands aren’t going any larger but mentally speaking and being out of compact and affordable phone options in iPhone land. Actually have the 2022 SE so not in a hurry. Won’t be replacing it in two years. A bigger screen with better battery life with the new design are welcome to an affordable phone.
