More manufacturers will shift production out of China, and not just phones. It's called decoupling from China as it degenerates into something similar to North Korea.
There will also be sanctions, restrictions etc. Those will escalate and not stop.
Shouldn't have brought the PRC into the WTO in 2001.

Switching manufacturers is not like deciding to try out a new taco stall on the other side of town on a moment's notice, it takes years of pre-planning and forecasting lots of variables with ever changing scenarios before signing on a dotted line.
The only reason why western manufacturers went with china was, obviously, greed. One country offered to create items for far less costs, so every fat suit jumped on the offer since buying the 5th personal yacht to party with aspiring models on their private island, still costs a fair bit of money.
That decision is coming to bite the western countries on the backside. Not because china has been reverse engineering the IPs and patents to build their own made in china knockoffs but because the chinese economy is facing some very lopsided economic danger due to their over-leveraged bubbles and population loss. The 'trillion dollar' companies do not really care about the IP theft as long as they can keep making money to fund their shareholders' and C-suites' ladies of the night & nose sugar hobbies.

dont forget companies think ahead in years, decades. on top of political risks concerning China, Vietnam has much better demographic outlook than China (same goes for India). the one child policy did it's job all too well, and China is becoming a country with ageing population.

Same applies to you as well. Falling in the propaganda lies of China itself. I clearly remember the quality of Made in Germany, Japan etc feels like. Made in China literally destroyed the word "Quality" from the world map.
