Android 14 will add support for satellite connectivity, remove Android Beam

This comes just days after T-Mobile and SpaceX announced work on a global service that will connect smartphones directly to satellites.

    This is very useful especially for travelers and emergency calls.

      Chinese in-built apps are way better for file transfer. Takes just seconds and no data or wifi networks. Example, File Dash on OnePlus. It can even share data with PC over Wi-Fi

              It connects directly to LEO satellites.

              For now only sms and calls work, DATA doesn't work and requires specialised hardware.

              Requires user to be in openspace devoid of buildings and walls as the weak signal from LEO is blocked by walls.

                  Don't know about android 14 but waiting for android 13. Will factory reset after updating.

                      What's with the satellite connectivity thing? First Apple, then Huawei, now Android. Are they trying to say us something that we don't know?
