Just wish Sony should have use... moreyou do realize that even though the xperia 5 is the midrange model from their lineup of xperia 1, 5, and 10 series, the 5 iv is still a flagship phone? the 778G would put it on the same level as a $500 A52s 5G from last year performance wise.
would be nice to see the 8+ gen 1 though to address the thermal concerns

Love this fone for its size. Just wish Sony should have used SD 778G chipset and reduce the refresh rate of screen to 90hz so it doesn't overheat and throttle.

I like the design and compact screen as well as the notches aspect and the good battery but that's about it.
I don't like the 21 by 9 screen ratio. As if cinematic stuff is all that counts...
I don't like the hefty price but that's because of the premium nature.
Should I have to choose a Sony then it would be the Xperia 10 IV. Agreed, it's the same annoying screen ratio but de price is much better and the battery performance is just sublime. A sturdy all plastic phone.

I wish I could get a Sony. Bit they fall extremely short from what they could be, should be, and all the fans claim it as.
And the oh 22 could only dream about battery capacity is a very misleading and biased comment.
Is quite typical for midrangers and upper midrangers to have 5000mah where as the flagship might only have 4000 or 4500.

Noone ever uses all of the processing power on ost modern phones anyway. It will easily run Youtube Music / Spotify, Youtube, and Instagram. What this phone does do is allow you to easily swap out SD cards if you take lots of photos. You can also plug in a decent pair of headphones. No Bluetooth headphones match a good wired set. And to top it off the battery capacity us huge compared to the competition.
The only reason I want a new phone is because my exisiting phone batter life is short, and I am sick of juggling apps because the internal storage is full. As a phone ages it fills up with photos, apps, music, podcasts, and the battery life gets shorter. This phone actually is built for longevity. I like it.

Some especialy elderly people can care for their smartphones.
Saw even redmi 4A in a perfect working condition and thats a very old phone compared to 9A.
Some of my or better to say our customers can really care for their phones.
And on the other hands know several people with latest Iphone and they broke the glass within 4 days of buy.
Not long ago had a customer who breaks his folding samsung just because the main screen durability is equal to a piece of chalk.
