This is Intel style marketing! - the infamous Tic-Tac strategy that made them billion$ before Ryzen came out. The mobile processor tech innovation is becoming a monopoly, development is stagnating and the big wigs start profiteering. Better start buying Qualcomm stocks.

My bet is 4G1 has 778 gpu.
          Then 6g1 has new adreno.
Otherwise, there would not be difference between 4g1 and 695.

Thisnis great, but, sadly, it’s ALL IN VAIN! 😩😭 For some reason, OEMs do not use current Qualcomm chips (except for the 8 series ones). Look at the HORRIBLE treatment that the Snapdragon 7 Series 1 chip is getting: there are almost no phones which use it, despite it being announced half a year ago. The OEM bastards prefer to use the underpowered 778G and 680G/695G chips from the previous year. I guess it’s a matter of cost reduction, but it’s ridiculous and disgusting. They killed the mid-range segment this year with those outdated chips and now they are going to kill the low-end segment too, because they will mostly stick to the ancient Snapdragon 480 or Helio G85/G95.

Here's a quick spoiler for you - a 3 year old "high end" (assuming you count stuff like SD888 as worth using at all) will be easily comparable or worse than a current mid-range and if you ignore gaming, probably be comparable in almost anything to a power-saving SoC, except those power efficient ones will wipe the floor with the old high end stuff when it comes to battery life.

BrianCoriour, 06 Sep 2022Why not start giving budget phones 800 series ?????They won't. Can't even help manufacturers keep updating SD800 phones that are still working fine up to this day lol.

Grey Wolf , 06 Sep 2022Probably you are referring to some older generation 800 ser... moreFor all the Hate intel get i really appreciate how they give best cores in all of their lineup, even Pentium and i3 have same core as i7 and i9 just differ in number of cores and clock speed.

There was a time Qualcomm was like this, like snapdragon had version with dual core krait cores same core as flagship.

We could Get midrange or lowend phones with same flagship soc but with fewer big core and downclocked.

When will 3nm come to market? I hope those won’t require as much throttling?

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2022So same old little coresThese old cores are better than new one, atleast in efficiency. Arm new Cores from Cortex X series to A710 and A510 are not efficient, so i dont mind cortex A78/A55 combo.

Before 7 series showed up, it was always a 4xx low end cpu, one/two 6xx cpus, and the 8xx high end one.

Now it seems we are back to the same 3 families as before, which is great, because in the middle of the road, oddities like the 630/660, 636/662/665/670/650 happened.
