A $2.34 unenforced fine is not something worries Apple too much.
Not selling chargers with the phones is seen by many as a covert price increase.

Why did Apple reached 1 trillion dollar and not Samsung or Xiaomi? The answer is pretty simple, Apple has more profit than all the other companies. How did Apple reached higher profit? Simple, they have overpriced things.
Is not only about the big number of iPhones sold each year. Samsung sells a lot of S series. Also a lot of FE or A5x/A7x series, which are not cheap. Xiaomi was selling like ice cream in the summer, couple of years ago (they were selling so many phones, their fanboys were saying that they will reach no.1 in sells). Yet, neither Samsung or Xiaomi reached even half trillion dollars (as companies). Because they do not have their devices as overpriced as Apple does.
So yeah, each company is bad, but Apple is worse when it comes to thinking about profit.

Is well known that their accessories are bringing them a lot of profit year on year. Yeah, it was an intelligent business move, to remove headphone jack and charger from box, but that doesn't mean it was good for their customers too.

guys, let me explain Brasil law for a second. there is a book in Brasil that translate like consumers rights, which protect consumer from Bad practices, one of those bad practices is the Married Sell(venda casada) in which you sell one thing but that to work you need to buy another thing from the same company. In the case of Iphones the charger is the married sell, so if you buy an Iphone and you dont receive a charger they are forcing you to buy the charger. what is acceptable in Brasil is the company saying, we have the version with the charger but the one without the charger cost X less, thats ok. but not having a version with the charger falls on to Married Sell. Also another solution would be any new Iphone can go to an Apple store and pick a charger for free. anyway. I am happy that Brasil is not making excepitions.

2 millions for apple from selling Iphone 14 series will take them maybe 5 seconds worldwide to earn.
It should be at least 1000 times more same goes for Samsung and any other company which removed chargers, earphones, earplugs, earpods and many else things which were presented in the phone box years ago,
Its an incomplete product.

so you buy the iphone for 1300$ then you need a wireless headphone lets buy a cheap one 50$ then lets buy the charger and cable for 30$ ok now lets ship them all for 30$
1410$ + more boxes etc..
so where"s the nature eco protection :p
