Anonymous, 08 Sep 2022Euro is at parity with the dollar, so not unexpected. Things weren't cheaper for Europe when Euro was higher tho. Seems like any excuse is good to jack up prices. When EUR is lower, jack up the prices, when EUR is higher, jack up the prices anyway, because why not.

For those talking about price hikes in Europe. Yes, they are more expensive for the consumer. However, from the company point of view, they are probably coming out with similar profit margins as their main costs are in US$ and Chinese rmb as that is where they are manufactured. The Chinese rmb is artifically tied mainly to the dollar so it moves in the same way. The Euro has depreciated almost 20% against the dollar in the past year, and the company costs are in US$/Rmb and the home currency is US$. Therefore, last year 800 euro would be $960 and this year it would only be less than $800. To maintain the same profit margin they need to increase the price to make up for the currency difference (inflation in Europe would also add a little extra to the costs). The same applies to Chinese companies like, Oppo, XIaomi, and Honor. We are typically seeing significant price increases from all of them this year compared to last. The main reason is the currency movement. Actually, in China prices from Chinese brands have not increased at all and in some cases prices have even dropped on the newer models compared to last years models. Still, wouldn't be surprised if Apple is taking advantage of the situation and adding an extra few percent comfort margin to protect their own profit margin.

If lenses do not move, they cannot stabilize the shaking.
Have you seen any 📷 say IBIS is OIS? I am sure answer is not.
You can pair both techs, but iphone main camera only has one.
