This is really good finally improving the CPU speed too 6hz and 8hz

I watched a video a few days ago saying the pentium 5 was goings be a similar speed too this many years ago but was scrapped 😢

& requires you a thermonuclear power source & liquid nitrogen cooling loop.

A normal aio would be enough

Hopefully they let you undervolt these chips again instead of reserving it for the i9

...didn't the current world record also use liquid nitrogen? Or was that somehow just with a standard cooler?

"8GHz, supposedly with the use of liquid nitrogen" Come on this is BS who runs their system on this in the real world. Pointless statement Intel.

"...get the bragging rights over AMD's upcoming Ryzen 7000 series..."

Sounds like a new Core i7 CPU to me.

SShock, 12 Sep 2022I'm running Pentium N6000 which is essentially a new A... morePretty impressive how intel made the customers pay a premium while they could've easily increased the number of cores and performance. They easily did so when Zen was introduced.
They offered the same damn cores without even improving the security and sold us chips with meltdown security flaw while being perfectly aware of the security issues.

And the gracemont cores being as fast as or better than skylake only reinforces the feeling that intel betrayed the tech community by causing deliberate tech stagnation because of greed and lack of competition.
Thank you Zen, for forcing intel's eternal quad-core era to (an early) demise (yes, we'd still be there had amd not upgraded from bulldozer).

I, too, like having a furnace in my room. Might get a 13th gen for this upcoming winter.

And your eletric panel will blow when you turn your device on

An awful lot of ignorance being shown on here by some of those commenting.
These are top spec, top price DESKTOP PC chips, trying to compare them to mobile phone chips is like comparing oranges with oysters, totally pointless..
Anything pulling 100+watts is going to generate a fair bit of heat, try pushing even 25watts through a mobile phone chip and watch the phone melt, mobile phone chips pull only a few watts.
888 pulls 5 Watts, 8+1 pulls 10 Watts, and folk complain they run warm, and eat battery ,so imagine what a mobile pulling 125 watts would be like,on for about 3 seconds, then flat battery and thermal protection would shut it down.
Snapdragon 810 was 10 watts max.
