Ice Universe: the Samsung Galaxy S23 will have slightly thicker bezels than the S22

15 September 2022
According to Ice's measurements, the S23 will be 0.3mm taller and 0.3mm wider than the S22. And all of that is accounted for by extra bezel around the 6.1" display.

GregLu, 15 Sep 2022Color / Rendition isn't the same as 'pixel peepin... moreI know ppi has nothing to do with color I was just saying the saturation gives fidelity to display look still very nice and sharp even with lower ppi... Ppi is down to screen resolution then and screens with over 500 is classed as ''3k'' screen 1440 x 3120 pixels .. which is then expensive.
That's why all iphones never passed 460 mark opr ppi's becsue they know it is not needed on screens lower than 7'' to 10''
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual had 800 ppi which was 4k screen and only 5.5'' CRAZY but the panel wa sso expencive that they never ever made it again... popintless..

AnonD-1058210, 15 Sep 2022I have Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G has 400 ppi and 120Hz and it is b... moreColor / Rendition isn't the same as 'pixel peeping' or wanting higher ppi. I always had 540+ ppi during an extented period of time (LG G3, G4 then Samsung S7 and S8) and we peak now around 500 ppi. Which isn't bad per se, but with larger screen ... higher ppi is very nice for people wanted them. That's why Samsung offered to lower the resolution in setting and shipped last year model in FHD by default, even on S21 ...

    Have a nice day 🖐🌞

0.15mm is about the length of two and a half pixels (in S22's 425 ppi screen that is). Love Samsung or hate it, this is probably the most inconsequential and pedantic thing to argue about.

GregLu, 15 Sep 2022For my eyes, it's more pleasant but it's perhaps ... moreI have Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G has 400 ppi and 120Hz and it is beautiful...
And I have Huawei Mate 20X 5G has 345 ppi and it is still very nice..
Huawei is oled so colors are richer
Oppo is AMOLED so colors are very slightly reduced
          Edit:
My sister has Huawei Mate 20 Pro has 550 ppi and somewaht I saw image sharper but but screen is much smaller ...

Cor!, Look at the size of the bezels on that... ;-)

AnonD-1058210, 15 Sep 2022u absolutely don't need more ppi than 400 For my eyes, it's more pleasant but it's perhaps because I was always surrounded with high ppi screen, and I know that everybody isn't as reponsive to this as ... let's say ... 120Hz ? 👍

Samsung flagship strategy really sucks since S21 series. They just want to push everyone to buy their foldable shits. I had a plan to buy S23+ but now with all these news I'm really disappointed...
