Those 2 low end midrangers and 2 so called flagships with no flagship specs at all apart the throttling CPU with best benchmark score but horrible life experience are way too costly.
Maybe for 500 or up to 700 good price othervise even Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra which is now 18 months old is a lot better device for 600 bucks brand new.

nackmand, 18 Sep 2022what i buy iphone 14 pro max for 1600$ why is it 1000$ here14 Pro Max is 1100$ in the states. So, this is 1100€. Slapping VAT on it and it's 1350€. Seems like it's worth importing it from US. Even with possible extra customs expenses, it'll be at least 200€ less than buying it in EU. That's a lot.

Can we really consider this as "on sale". Went to a store, there was along line, and then the staff were saying only 4 units were avaialble that day. They are taking pre-orders to be delivered 2nd to 3rd week of October Isnt that called false advertisement?

sanshiro, 17 Sep 20221300 Euro for a phone. Close to a month's salary in Europe.True, but nowadays almost all manufacturers demand higher prices for their flagships. Even Xiaomi asks 1200EUR for their top model. But of course, Apple sets this bad habits each year, that sadly are followed by other manufacturers too.
Well, the good part for the people who are interested in an iPhone, is that they don't need to buy the latest iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max. They could easily buy a refurbished iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max or as good as new 13 Pro/Pro Max with cheaper prices (even as low as 750-800EUR for 12 Pro series; far better than 1200-1400EUR). Even 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max series are still good for 2022-2023 standards (of course, if you find one in very good condition).
Bottom line, for people who absolutely want or need IOS, there are other good options too. Not just the latest iPhones. iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max series are nice, but not mandatory to have. Especially at these higher prices.

And so does Xiaomi Ultra models. There is plenty of ridiculously expensive phones out there, but people always point out just iPhones even though they all cost the same. Why?
And if you think monthly paycheck to phone ratio is bad in Europe, think what kind of paychecks people in countries like Vietnam or India have. It would be like several months if not years worth of paychecks just to buy 1 phone.

Testing the iPhone 14 as we’re speaking.
The phone is nice and fast, like any other iPhone in the past few years and it does have a few camera tricks up its sleeve.
This being said, I can’t help but recomend folks looking into buying this so look at the 13 or used/refurbished 13 Pro or Pro Max models, as they’d get much better value from these handsets

If you have already used an ordinary smartphone then you decide to buy and use iPhone (Pro, preferable) as a daily driver, you may understand and answer your own question.

I mean, okay, if that's their jam, who am I to judge. I just think it's dumb when like a month or two later you will be able to walk into any retail store and buy the same thing in 5 minutes without any waiting out in the cold for hours or something.
Only time I pre-ordered anything was Apple Watch 5, because I was waiting for it to receive AOD mode and version 5 was the one that got it. But I don't remember any ultra rage about it back then. Preordered it and picked it up without any drama. If I had to wait for hours outside the store, I sure as hell wouldn't do it.

People's preorders are getting delayed. Had only people in need preordered it this would have not happened. How can people be considered so civilized while they can't resist being the first of owning "thing", anything regardless how stupid it is!!??

But what about iPhone 13.it still costs $900 in india.
It should have been substantially cheaper now bcoz its Made in India & Apple gets good amount of incentives to do so.
Every year its the same pattern.
Apple launches their phones with high prices that are imported from China but doesnot reduce prices accordingly once its starts manufacturing in India.

But still Made In India iPhone 13 cost ₹70K($900) in India.
India has high Import duties on pre-assembled electronics to boost local manufacturing & assembly while Govt. provide good incentives to companies to manufacture in India.soTax is not major reason for such absurd high prices.
All extra money just goes to Apple pocket.
