This is Jst a 13pro max with a
1. Bad Display
2. Bad battery
3. Slightly better chipset
4. Slightly better camera
A better upgrade from the Xs Max, 11 & 12 , I would have said for the 13's but that price melted my brain 🤕

-Trix-, 20 Sep 2022"Unless, someone is planning to buy both the iPhone 14... moreI don't know in which part of the World you are, but in European country, for an iPhone 13 Pro Max in top condition (that means quality A and with battery more than 95%) you can get around 950EUR for it. And this price if you sell it yourself on Marketplace or some Bazar. If you go to some special second hand shops who buys phones from people, you will get even less, for one in top condition (maybe 850-900EUR). Of course, for quality B phones (that means small scratches on the back or the display), the price decreases even more.
In my country the price for a new iPhone 13 Pro Max was 1300EUR. That will mean you loose 400EUR for 1 year usage of a device. And this if the phone is in perfect condition. Because there are many iPhones in my country, people and second hand shops have become very picky when buying them.
The new iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at 1500EUR (for base variant). That will mean you need to put another 600EUR on top of those 900EUR you got from selling the iPhone 13 Pro Max. In my opinion I don't think is worth it.

Why you need to be rich to do that? Second hand price is really high next year for 14 Pro. In reality you pay 1/4 price of the 15 Pro if you want to upgrade 14 Pro to - 15 Pro next year.
This is now same with year old 13 Pro when i checked how much i would have to pay for 14 Pro and was really surprised how i still can get this one year old phone.

No it's not, why spread things like this when actual users already tested this? Over the night in 7 hours it only lost 4% battery, which is very low, android AOD loses two times more in sametime, even having just small part of the screen on.

AVI is also a container format (very old one), but you can code video in it using H.265 if you want. Same goes for MP4. It's just a container, but we've been coding things in it using H.264 years ago and we code things with H.265 now. HEIC is using H.264 technology to compress images. Which is significantly newer than JPEG used for JPG images. We're talking decades here. It's significant.

They basically get almost entire value of phone back, meaning they actually spend like 200 bucks (or shall we say they lose that much) and have latest and greatest every year. Not sure if that's through Apple directly or 3rd party sellers, but I heard about that. Here in Europe, iPhones don't hold value this much except brand new in retail and trade in programs are usually a joke, where they offer you so little back that it's better to just keep the phone as backup in the end. Or try your luck at second hand flea markets if you can sell it better there.

It's all artificially manipulated to jack up prices. Always was, always will be. And whole this dumb recession is over, the prices will just remain the same, until next one when they jack up prices again.

AnonD-1058210, 20 Sep 2022Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G is much better than this iphone The problem with Oppo and some other Chinese manufacturers is that many of their flagship models are not available globally (especially in European countries). And I will never buy a Chinese phone imported from China.
Not to mention, in many cases they are differentiating too much between their Chinese models and their global models. OnePlus for example nowadays, uses Color OS on their Chinese models and Oxygen OS on their European models. Maybe that is why they have so many bugs and problems in the global models (they don't care too much about those anymore). This changes or differentiating between models, makes the European costumers (me included) even less likely to trust Chinese manufacturers.

Knowing that iPhone 15 Pro's will ditch the lightning connector for Usb-C, makes this year iPhone 14 Pro's even more unappealing. Unless, someone is planning to buy both the iPhone 14 Pro's from this year and the iPhone 15 Pro's from next year. But, if you are not a rich person, that is pretty d*mb thing to do.
Hopefully, with the introduction of Usb-C next year to iPhones, they will decrease the charging times too. At least at the levels of Samsung (50-60 minutes for a full charge). Not 100-120 minutes like now.

All I see is "prices increased too much outside of US"...... Well yes, that is true, but did anyone stop for 5 seconds and think about it? I'll give you a hint. Go look at USD-EUR and USD-GBP exchanges rates progression in the last 6-9 months.
