The S series is the perfect size for me. I would have to wait for S5. S3 is good enough for me for another year!!!!

i think the octa-core chip is not ready yet. It will be ready by the end of the year for galaxy note 3.
if the rumor is true. The s4 will use snapdragon 600 then it still has the most powerful chip at the moment, because it run at 1.9 ghz. It will be faster and more powerful than HTC One that run 1.7 ghz.

Qualcomm cpu 600 ok i can live with that because am usimg the North America S3 version that have a dual core krait at 1.5ghz. The 600 on htc one is really good and the performance of the dual core krait was already good. But no superamoled is a deal breaker for me. I will stay with my S3 for another year and wait for S5. The new phone (htc one and xperia z) are not good enough for me to switch. If I switch I will lose to much. Ex USB on the go, smart stay, allshare play with my tv and computer, etc....

You know a lot of people say that Samsung make the stuff apple use. But now with reports that Samsung designed octa core is over heating during testing, and that they can't make the super amoled screen n the small size currently without issues etc.. It shows designing is a lot harder than making.
I always said, thinking up the wheel is a lot harder than making one.

in a term of design, HTC wins! (HTC one X) is way hotter than SGS III, and sure it'll be so with SGS IV, HTC are pretty good in design but they still lack of a good specs that does has a memory expansion limits as the HTC Butterfly... Nokia Lumia 910 is pretty flagship in a term of design and so the specs, but UNLIKE the Platform that this flagship runs.... Sony does the best design, innovation along with a great features.. Thou, the 2012 Sony flagships wasn't the best in a term of specs, yet It still competes the HTC and Samsung, but in 2013 Sony just caught up with a great specs and brought up this AWESOME and BEST FLAGSHIP EVER (design, innovation, features...etc) Sony Xperia Z, in which Samsung GS IV wont beat it up.....
Sony also still working on a higher flagship, either for the mid-year or next year, along with Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, so this is not the potential of the company!
and at the end, we choose where our eyes and minds goes for.. whether to Samsung, Sony, HTC, or LG...etc
so, this will remain a personal choice, even if im not a fan of Samsung.

At first I was disappointed at no AMOLED, that's one of the reasons I love the Galaxy series, but apparently, SoLux is pretty sweet, at least in terms of SoLux light bulbs... True colors, like close to real daylight... If this screen has high visibility outdoors, which is one of the main reasons I stick with Samsung, I will buy this phone.
Also, I never had an issue with plastic, I like the weight and I just use a case, but the addition of aluminum in intriguing... As for processors, I couldn't care less about who has slightly higher benchmarks, they are all plenty fast nowadays...

Sad news for samsung fans.. Now they lose 2 of their bragging rights... The octa core and the screen they love so much.
But I have to say its a good move .. Not another year of pentile screen.
Maybe they should really just stop waiting and get htc one or Sony z.. Even china's ZTE and huawei is preferable.
