The moment I saw both M*****s B******e and Mr**********ss made a "Why no one buy LG smartphones", I really lost their crediblity as a techies, especially when the former even called the G8 "master of none". I was like, That's it! Unsubscribe button right there".

Definitely prefer this idea over a foldable screen. It feels as if LG took the Huawei Mate Xs but replace the foldable screen with a rollable mechanism. With this kind of technology, a native tablet replacement is easily doable. LG can also throw in AES stylus support as they did with the V60, Velvet 5G/LTE, and Wing 5G.

LG was the first company with curved, rollable & dual screen implementations. Apple after 10 years took LG's dual screen implementation and called it (awful name by the way) "Dynamic Island"...no other company did too many innovations.... it was a shame that bad marketing and bad customer services ruined the company.....

lg never got the appreciation it deserves for it's innovation these so called tech reviewers are the reason we lost true innovation instead of prasing quality product they always talk about how unworthy it is if it is not an iPhone or galaxy s series knock off and doesn't have the unoptimized top of line oven processor
this rollable from lg would have the same fate if they were released before something similar from Samsung and Apple came out because " oh it doesn't make any sense" shame on you tech reviewers .

Cool, but not a successful phone.
1. You can't protect it. No casing / screen protectors. - So company need to be able to swap it on demand.
2. It will not be durable, when opened, it will be weaker.
3. Its max battery capacity is that of the unfolded version. So yes bigger, but it have the battery life of the smaller size.

hassle free expanding screen? now thats want I want! I tried the galaxy fold 3 and boi I dont feel like opening a rusty notepad constantly alongside having the anxiety of maybe closing it with too much force.
