Hahahahaha. And in Redmi Note 12 it's gonna be SD665. Hell yeah, old is new again

It's pretty likely this is a f*ckup of some sorts in the Google Play Console.

                          1. Qualcomm discontinued support for the entire sdm710 platform (includes SDM670, SDM710 and SDM712) on Android 11 with kernel 4.9. (Check the security bulletin page released by Qualcomm, they don't list it as 'affected' anymore because they simply don't test or support it anymore. No recent Android 11 CAF/CLO tag has been released either.)
                          2. Even the Linux Foundation is going to stop supporting kernel 4.9 in January 2023.
                          3. Paying Qualcomm to re-enable support for the chip and promoting it to a newer kernel would likely be more expensive than to use a recent chip.
                          4. SDM712's Adreno 616 has a clock speed of 610 MHz. SDM710 has an Adreno 616 at 504 MHz. (Source: sdm670-gpu.dtsi in msm-4.9 kernel sources)
                          4. sweet is the codename of an already existing Xiaomi device on a whole different platform which isn't software compatible to the SDM712. The device would have gotten a unique codename because of that.

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2022Better than Xperia 5 IV.My first smartphone was galaxy pocket. It still works.
Even it is way more durable than disposable redmi 10A you have.

Let alone the expensive phones of other brands.

                                Low quality hardware + memeUI.

everyone doesn't like 712? this in my opinion is better than 680. only fabrication is better in 680..

MRSTEK, 22 Sep 2022How do u "recycle" silicon chips?Easy. Let's suppose you today buy a phone with 8g1.
Next year you trade-in it for phone with 8g2.

They can remove the 8g1 and used for brand new phone. There will be 2023 chinese phones with 8g1/8+g1 announced..

Do not be surprised if out there you find new phones with used parts.
