It's so hilarious when people start saying "but phone works just fine with old Android version!". You're literally defending the reason it's this way, otherwise no one could use any Android phone for more than 2 years if Google deprecated Android versions as fast as Apple does iOS. Imagine if minimum Android OS version to use 90% of apps was Android 11. You know, like iOS 14 is slowly becoming on Apple's side with release of iOS 16. It would basically make 55% of Android phones useless. Based on H1 2022 Android version share. How many iPhone 7 (2016) users are still out there?

SShock, 28 Sep 2022Not even remotely with same fury and rage as you do with Ap... moreMost of the update issues are on the budget to middle range phones and none of these brands advertise any of them with update schedule. 1 Android update is good enough for most android phones and then year or close to 2 years of security updates is also enough for the money. Why should anyone complain about updates on 100-300 euro phones ? It's not expected to get updates like 5 years for Apple devices that is one of there biggest selling point cause for some reason people think that there phones get better with update that isn't specifically modified for older models.
Also why are you so upset about people complaining in apple related news while your one of the biggest trolls in this site under android brands news and one of the first one to comment also.

No need to side load anything. There are alternative stores and repositories. There are countries with even no Google Play. They don't sideload. They just have alternative stores. For Apple that's just the end of presence on Russian market. Once they move major part of manufacturing or of China, China will ban Apple either.
