Unless it arrives at ~ 50W, it may not be worth it. I could see the difference when I switched to a phone having 80W wired adapter.

I want iPhones to support 36W fast charging so I can get a full charge in an hour or 1h:18 mins max.
This one of the many reasons why I'm still reluctant to buy an iPhone.

Take that, Apple. Just get rid of that Lightning port for good. Even the base iPad 10.2 will embrace USB-C soon.

The EU concern is the environment they should ban all those cheap phones that break in a year and also force manufacturers to provide more updates because lack of updates is what makes a lot of people to buy new phones. Lightening is more durable than USB-C. Any small debris that accidentally enters the charging port of a USB-C device can break the connector inside or make it loose. Another serious concern is that there are all kinds of USB-C type like cables that are not actually type C.

The latest iPhones already take 1.5-2h to charge wired, if a 20-30W MagSafe ends up taking the same amount of time, Apple won't mind removing the charging port, and people doesn't seem to mind the slower charging times, they're using iPhones as a choice and don't care about what Android phones can do.

Are there any exceptions in the USB-C law that allow Apple to get away with being completely portless if they wanted to? Or does Apple absolutely have to put a USB-C port on their iPhone regardless of thinness (if that’s even possible)?
Plus EU should mandate a universal charging protocol for all phones and tablets, I hate it when a fast charger doesn’t work despite having the capacity to do so.
