Meanwhile in Brazil both Galaxy A52s and A53 are stuck with almost 4 month old update, devices are homologated to work on 5G SA, but it doesn't work, only NSA, I'm suing Samsung Brazil for false advertising, both for 5G SA that doesn't work and also not complying with update policy for certain devices.
Last update on my A52s was from July, the month when my city got 5G deployed, and all our 5G networks are NSA and SA, there's no NSA only antennas.

I believe this happened because the spectrum auction happened really late and that's why the network information was not ready from the network provider's side.
The same phones would already work in pre-existing 5G networks across the globe. It is just that the Indian network is too new.

A device with certain specifications and price band attains certifications for launch so changing those with a mere software update is not that easy. The decision of applicable bands is very cruical as it decides a lot of factors. So, technically, I don't have much hopes 🙁

Tough choice unfortunately. But true, with the current broadband prices, it's equally good if you have WiFi 5 enabled device at least. 5G works best at short ranges as well.

Very weird roll out after the hype around 5G with very select brands and phones working while others wait a month or two for software update. Not sure how was this planned but a little (more) patience will see us through 5G 😀

So basically people like me who don't update their phones to prevent deliberate cpu throttling will have to sacrifice internet speed for CPU Speed. Fortunately, I got broadband, so gimmick 5g is not needed anyways. Btw why need update to "activate" 5g in first place? After all I bought 5g phone ain't I? Those lyin'.....
