It has nothing to do with your 'rant' about android experts not being able to help, because you're asking a product specific question, not OS specific. Am I clear?
Secondly, I'm an android user, who doesn't mind or oppose iOS users, and I put android-bashers and iOS-bashers in the same category. My question is, should I putting you in them?
Or are we commonly understanding the point here like matured people?

Darknoor, 17 Oct 2022Should have been slightly cheaper for they still refuse to ... moreThere could be good reasons for it being omitted.
A guess could be that they might have issues getting the functionality through FCC or CE.
I have no idea how easy/hard it is to apply in such a tiny devices as smart band/watches.
Another guess could be that they are breaking some western patent(s), that would lead to an injunction.

Should have been slightly cheaper for they still refuse to make NFC global with others giving us that long ago by now.

Though I like that large screen I will keep my Mi Band 6 instead. I'm a basic user. Just check the time and view my steps and control the music of my phone. Works pretty good.

SShock, 16 Oct 2022I know it's cheap, but they often bake in popular feat... moreYes physically close to the Huawei band 6 and 7, and it is a practical size. Watch-like, without being too huge.
The main differences seems to be the auto brightness and GNNS on the Xiaomi, at the cost of substantially higher price, 1mm extra thickness, and what looks like a bad band attachment.
So whether one is better than the other will be an individual thing.
The auto brightness alone, combined with the Huawei Band 7 not properly supported on Android makes me consider the Xioami (The Huawei requires insecure side-load on android, but is supported on aPple's Ios though).

SShock, 16 Oct 2022Can an incoming phone call be easily and quickly silenced (... moreActually, you can silence calls on the normal band 7, so I'm assuming that the pro would have it too. There is probably no sound recognition in this band because it's quite cheap.
You're better off getting the standard band 7 if you're after a small wristband, considering the pro is double the price of the normal one

Interesting, especially the auto brightness.
But the band attachment stinks, making it a pillbox on string...
Compare these (advertise) images for the Huawei Band 7 respectively for the Xiaomi https://consumer.huawei.com/content/dam/huawei-cbg-site/common/mkt/pdp/wearables/band7/imgs/module5-4/huawei-band-7-colour-black-2-m@2x.webp/

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2022What you ask in this specific case is unrealistic. Why?... moreDude, what's so super complicated for sport band to accept or reject calls? Or silence them? It's frigging most basic thing. It seems none of you has any clue about anything. Bunch of clueless so called "Android" experts... heh

Why?... moreLet me clear it up
The question you asked IS REALISTIC.
What I mean with unrealistic is expecting a fitness band has stuff like music recognition.

SShock, 16 Oct 2022That's not what I was asking. And I wasn't asking... moreWhat you ask in this specific case is unrealistic.
Why?
- this thing is too cheap to do that stuff
- this things doesn’t run WearOS which can do what you asked about
- this is a fitness tracker with some extra functionality, not a smartwatch
What you expect is realistic from a Samsung Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch, TicWatch, Fossil and so on, because they run WearOS and can do the same stuff Apple Watch does.
Also they have appropriate prices for being able to do all that.

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2022I doubt it's gonna be up there with a $400 watch in te... moreThat's not what I was asking. And I wasn't asking anything absurd or unrealistic either.
Why is everyone always loud about how much Apple everything sucks when I talk about that, but when I ask ANYTHING about ANYTHING in Android side of things, NO ONE ever gives me a clear answer. It's like no one actually has any clue about anything here on GSMArena.
