You can't charge your Pixel Watch with your phone or a standard Qi wireless pad

I've been doing research because I wanted to buy a new watch to go with my Pixel 6 Pro. I have the original Huawei Watch and it somehow still looks amazing compared to current offerings (how???), With a tiny vessel and real sapphire crystal OLED. It still looks new, but lacking in speed and would like NFC and HR workout detection, but don't care about GPS or LTE at all.
Found a bunch of deal breakers by now, including this, the vessel size, battery life, reads your heart rate every second wasting so much battery too, and no sapphire glass, which means it will scratch easily enough and I'm not putting a protector on it.
A super understanding watch for something we've been waiting years for.
I also don't like the design of the Samsung Watch, with the huge tire on it, and I can't take the iPhone home screens (I tried a few times. It's horrible). So I just won't buy anything. SOL but I save money.

      You can plug the USB C puck charger that comes with the watch into the Pixel 7 to charge it..doesn't take long.

                    Lol this watch is stupid. For normal use, it used Google very own software to do the things and for fitness, it used Fitbit software and guess what, you need to subscribe to it once your trial period over 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
                    Even MKBHD gave 👎🏻👎🏻 for this watch. Those who already buying it, enjoy your subscription 🤣🤣

With Android, you Dan buy a Samsung smartwatch and pair it with a Google Pixel and have great compatibility. This is untrue of Apple's ecosystem.

                        Same situation with galaxy watch. I have Watch Active2 and Watch4. Both support wireless charging, but not all qi wireless would do.

                                That's fine and all but it's a usb c male end on the puck so I've nothing to plug it into as all my old chargers are usb-a. They stopped including bricks then changed the standard. You can buy a brick for 30 pounds/dollars

                                      Design is actually pretty interesting and the way straps are attached is also pretty cool. What I don't understand is how this thing is using Samsung's chipset from 2018. Especially since Samsung has W920 chipset that's from 2021. 3 years difference is forever in tech time.
