A different solution from LG as the screen rolls vertically instead of horizontally. It can be a replacement for the current Razr. That said, the rollable screen laptop is slick! I love that.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2022Is it just me or is they smartphone expanding in the wrong ... moreIt is expanding inthe right direction, it is a small phone which becomes a full fledged smartphone once expanded. An great concept of an alternative to foldables and their screen crease. Otherwise it would have to be an already big 6.6/6.7 incer that becomes a freaking tablet. The aim here is to create a compact device

I like the idea of a rollable, but unless they find a way to make something as scratch resistant as glass while still bendable, it's a bad idea, just imagine how easy it would be to scratch that screen when you put that phone in your pocket.
Only reason why folding phones as a whole aren't a bad idea is because you can hide the folding screen and avoid damage when not using the phone.

The Ducati Lenovo team has a chance to win the MotoGP world title this week, will they make a limited edition or something for their phone.

Actually sounds like an innovation which actually would have a practical use for me. Hate all those phablets for when I'm on the road but at home could leave it rolled out.
But I have to confess, I don't buy expensive phones, hence I would have to wait for years for this to be at a reasonable price for me.
A Pixel 4a size of android phone would do it for me, I guess :D

Is it just me or is they smartphone expanding in the wrong direction? This is basically going from a small smartphone form-factor (barely, pretty square-ish) to a larger smartphone form-factor.
A better implementation would be going from a smartphone form-factor to a tablet-like form-factor. Kinda like going from the outside screen to the inside screen on a foldable, but with just one screen and without a hinge.
