I had too switch back too using my old Nokia 3.1 as my daily driver as the Nokia c01 plus was just too so painful too use
Nokia c01 plus
Main reason was performance 1gb ram & unisoc processor was unbearable and browser keeps closing it's self ever few minutes
Androidgo 11 in fact has worse performance then full version of Android 6 with same amount of 1gb ram
Again 1gb ram still has no place in the market in late 2022
Nokia 3.1
Mtk 6750 with 2gb ram so much better in performance with AndroidOne
Androidgo don't fix the problem with poor performance on budget smartphones sadly
There has too be a solution too performance problems in Android OS & Ul as well as being good enough too be able too use all mainstream apps on the app store & third party browsers
Android does need a better ram management system & settings opinions for ram usage as Android is becoming as ram hungry as a full size windows desktop
I strongly believe adding more ram is strictly necessary for smartphones manufacturers as app browser and the os all just need and lot of ram but want even more still if it was available
So 8gb ram does generally need too come the new normal as soon as possible because anything less than 8gb ram runs the risk of being sluggish or have moderate performance
I think 2 GB ram bare minimum under this amount of ram spec just
e-waste for the modern standards & software os ui apps etc simply can't function with less ram

Android Go will be better than previous Android Version except from 2014-2012 Android Version. Android has a problem Background Processes are really a problem the problem has not been solved yet by Android Developers / AKA GOOGLE DEVELOPERS They Lied to Us just the ram increases really help Android ran better than previous. Google should not acting like this is a Crime and Data Theft for gaining access for the phone you already buy/bought by not gaining control it and has no Explanations of how Android works in the background. Linux Is Free and Google should give it for free. Android Go is faster than any Smartphone like Android Stock/Skinned Android, Android One and other the past released Lollipop is comparible remain stock.
Android Go is slower/ Sluggish because of the Chip abd built in hardware of it. or the built in UI capped at 24Fps is reliable but doesn't affect apps performance showing like real FPS is.Don't Blame android first the Go version because Manufacturer who give the hardware of it and blame Google they are not the right Software developers for your Phone.

More features so much better just sluggish
Androidgo cuts too many corners and lacks features and I have too many problems with it
I think a budget smartphone with the cheapest bargain basement set of possible slow ram but of high
amount like 8gb ram will be excellent improvement for budget smartphones
It might be possible if the right trade offs are made
Also running a low screen resolution like 480p will help with performance

Well android go aint bad but what we really needs is internet, apps and many else without stupid adds everywhere.
Popups and another garbage opens on every device regardless of the brand and obstructs phone usage.
Phones before were much better in this than phones now.
Since everything is bloated by stupid advertising and more and more is still comming noone is happy only uber rich people seeing more money from this.

If people where able too choose what version there smartphone comes with when they buy it
Yeah have Androidgo as one of many Android OS opinions smartphone can come with per-installed
Androidgo runs a lot better on same hardware then full version of Android
So it run very smoothly on high end hardware
It feel like very smooth experience I think

As a user of Android go
My favorite release was Android 10 go
But the problem with android go is barley any manufacturers update the os,you may get update or two but that's it no os update at all except nokia
The go os uses about 700 megabytes of ram and you only left with 300 or 200 megabytes to play with
So get at least 2 gb ram and 16 gb of storage if you want to pick one

Android One has a gigantic problem: if you're a manufacturer, and you're using Android One, then for the consumer's naked eye you're competing with the Google Pixels. And it's hardly doable to win against the Google brand itself.
That's probably how Xiaomi and Samsung could keep their market share: they stood significantly different from the Pixel brand in terms of software. In the large crowd of the Android smartphone, you have to be different to stand out of the competition.

My Nokia 3.1 runs AndroidOne it updated from Android 8 too Android 10
It's My favourite version of Android
Has app draw slide down notification all in the right places and is user friendly standard and familiar
It's basically stock Android with 2 Android version promise updates
Its also comes on all of the new Nokia smartphones g series and realistically overpriced X series smartphones you get AndroidOne
Unless you buy a c series Nokia smartphone
Then you get either Androidgo OS stock Android OS
or clean OS
A lot of opinions Android version opinions with Nokia brand and smartphone opinions also

You get clean stock Android and 2 new version of Android in any price range with Nokia even the really cheap budget Nokia smartphones get updated as much as a flagship does

So perhaps 2gb ram is not a good amount of ram
But we talking about smartphones that cost around 50 pound and bare minimum needed too be functional
I only said at least 2gb ram because 1gb ram just isn't enough as even basic apps keep closing themselves
2gb ram the bare minimum for a smartphone too work with basic apps staying open
