Man i do but we can agree for China Telcom the W series are like premium because they wouldnt afford russian caviar brand nor Vertu which is a lot better device in terms of premium.
Edit: Oh yes, for the young and rich in China, there is only 1 premium phone that they use: Apple. If you're not using the latest iPhone on the day of launch, you're not in the correct social group. They may have a few phones at the same time, but... it's always the iPhone that they use...
And of course this is bad idea. Apple aint premium it never was and making cheap and sell for expensive anyone can do that. In this terms even Sony is more premium than Apple.
But as i said before only ever existed premium brand is Vertu and if chinese cant afford Vertu they dont have premium brand.
Calling Apple a premium is like sayingg money grow on the trees which is a lie.
Many phone brands top flagships are expensive nowdays but if something is really costly it does not means it is the premium,
Even Huawei Mate 50 RS is more premium than apple because of Leather finnish and several other features apple will never have or use.

The rich will buy a few of the most expensive variants to show others that they can afford beyond a "commoner's common sense". For example, buying 12 $14k Apple Watch Editions to put on 2 paws of his dog.
It's common to hear "I have so much money that I cannot finish spending it in a few lifetimes. I can buy that (over priced rubbish) and it doesn't even make a rounding figure in my bank statements. (However, I'm glad that I managed to make you notice that I have so much money to spend on frivolous items so I'll buy more things that the poor cannot afford)".

Its just an overpriced brand like every other starting with Apple and Sony.
The only premium brand ever existed was Vertu.
Apart the Vertu all other brands are just more or less costly brands but very far from premium.
Only tiny exception to this is Caviar which does not make phones on its own but instead buy those gadgets from Samsung, Apple and many else and transforms an average non premium overpriced device into a luxury premium one.
But compared to Vertu, Caviar not making own phones they buy renew and sell.
This is what i am talking about.
And if you put Xiaomi Fold and Samsung Fold to comparison adn will do same with Motorola Fluip and Samsung Flip you will realize for 30% less price you get much more specced device.
Nowdays having 20 or 25W charging is laughable. Since time is money faster is always better. many else phone specs can be used this way to compare between one and the other.

I love both, I used and owned booth, but I never saw that one coming as in my head I always believed Samsung was always a step ahead.
Not anymore.

I am not much in to aesthetique thing, but flip makes too good sense, considering the 12 GB ram and 512 GB storage. It is good for longevity of mobile; if you are planning to use for at least 3 years.

The W flip phones from Samsung always looked really cool.
I still dont understand why they were China only. They could probably sell those off in South Korea and Japan, too.
Even in the USA, some old people would have jumped at them
