I was literally like a child upon seeing a mouse that only have one button instead of two on non Apple computer and my first PC I used was in 1995 during my high school time. So, a lot of Apple products I used all those years including laptop, iPod and iPhone 😎 and windows PC too. Ohh, not forget Linux and Unix and QNX and BeOS and rack servers and symbian OS and Android too 😏

Lucky me. I only subscribe to Apple Music like 3 times a year. I only subscribe when I'm so bored. Now, the price is 16.90 from 14.90 in my country. So, no biggie for me. But, I'm sure those who subscribed monthly 🤷🏻♂️

Some of us... moreAgree. Doesn't matter how much the artist get from the streaming service, at least the artists still get something. Plus, online streaming count is now included in music charts, where top charting artists get more fame and they get more offers because of that.
320kbps mp3s from sharing sites sounds good, but original aac/m4a still sounds better. I'm staying with Apple Music since it offers lossless audio, unlike Spotify.

streaming is not buying its not even renting
you have absolutely zero rights of the songs/movies
they can remove your whole library and still take your money
artists get very small % its basically nothing
all the money go to publishers and streaming provider

Services like Netflix, Disney+ or Apple TV don’t have anything I want to watch, or in case of Netflix it is region locked (not going to waste more money on VPN to fix it)
Cloud I don’t use no matter who it is, prefer local files.
Apple Arcade is fine, it’s just that I prefer to play better games on PC/Consoles.
Apple Music is good… but my partner prefers spotify so went back to that.
Also neither Apple Music or Spotify have most of the local music that I have, because your argument is kinda strange on Android (using both Android and iOS myself) because you can listen to local music on iOS (Foobar2000 is a great music player for that).
Anyhow both music service lack around 70gb+ of my local music, gotta love falling into that niche.
Anyhow One was nothing for me, it is a fine service but not for me.

Not only that, cloud service that I use presents itself as a drive on my iPhone, so when I "stream" my own music, the media player thinks it's playing it from iPhone. There is absolutely no requirement that you need streaming service like Apple Music be active to listen to music. Though I agree using iTunes to physically copy music to phone is clumsy. But still, you can't say it's not possible when you can copy your own music to iPhone and listen to it just fine. I'll know because I have done that.
As for "worth" of the services, they all have this problem. I've used Netflix and ditched it because there was nothing worth watching anymore. Then I tried Disney+, watched all the Alien movies and all the main Star Wars movies and then realized there is nothing more to watch and ditched it. I currently don't use any streaming service because they just have nothing to watch that would interest me. Been iPhone user for 4 years and I haven't used their music or TV service even once. I didn't even try free trial they offered because I just wasn't interested in it.

kek, 25 Oct 2022Any person who pays to "stream" music deserves to... moreI had Apple One Individual for some time (which includes Apple Arcade, Apple Music, Apple TV+ and 50Gb space in iCloud). Even though I admit, the service has some advantages, in the end, after couple of months, it was useless to me. Throwing money away. It will be days without using any of those services (even 20 days in a month). So basically, I was paying for nothing.
Now I have only Android phone and all of my music is downloaded through my laptop and then copied to my smartphone. Free of charge. And I can listen it even just once per month. I don't need to enter daily or weekly to excuse the monthly payment.
Of course, people can "blah blah me" with morality issues and so on, but in the end is my money. And I like them in my pocket (when it's possible of course). Especially when majority of this money don't even go to developers or artists (they go to Apple pockets). So, the morality pep talk is not true in this case.
