They better increase the thickness and durability of the outer casing and the materials inside of it too because the wider the screen in proportion to its thickness, the higher chances of said tablet breaking or being deformed.

At this point they should call it "Touch enabled all in one portable monitor". That doesn’t belong to any tablet category anymore

16 inch? Seriously? Do they wanna put a full screen television on our hands next? Also it doesnt work any desktop apps i rather have a surface pro.

Raj, 29 Oct 2022@ Mills - I don't think it will suffer from durability... moreI have the S8 Ultra and it is great, it is very strong and super stiff. But as with the Ipad pro which I had before, the OS is limiting. Samsungs Android is better than IpadOs for general computing tasks, widgets, and consistency throughout, although loses out on some very good Ipad only apps. If Samsung could put Windows 11 for ARM on it alongside Android, it would be a total beast. Same with Apple, if they could dual run the OSs then wow!!

You can check the new samsung s8 ultra 14 inch variant it does not have any bend issue. The build quality is good in s8 ultra. I would like to carry one device instead of multiple devices it is better to have all in one iPad.

It can suffer from durability issues, too. 12.9 is giant. If want a Mac experience, just get a MacBook or iMac. Don't cry about MacOS on iPad. At least we have Sidecar and Stage Manager (for M1 anyways-)

Unless its a midrange spec model just with a larger screen it will flop. The 12.9" is already expensive and not well selling at all. All iPad's run the same regardless of which one you buy and there is no reason to even by the M1 ones at the moment.

It will run the same OS my current iPad Pro runs ... so who cares ... it will be the same limited, dumbed down experience, only on a slightly bigger screen.

Great, now can we finally have MacOS and at least two TB4 ports as well? If they are putting M3 (or whatever the next generation of M-series SoC will be) onto it, surely iPadOS won't be robust enough to fully leverage its performance.

At this point they might as well stuff an M3 Pro in there and call it the iPad Ultra or something, since it seems like that's the route that they're doing - making the highest end things in their product line-ups 'Ultra'.
(Apple Watch Ultra is a thing and iPhone 15 Ultra is likely the new name for the 15 Pro Max next year.)
