Having 32-bit as an option is not a bad idea.

Didn’t even know they still supported 32bit. It was gone from iPhones since iOS 11.

Elderman, 29 Oct 2022In 2022? Apple has 64only since 2017Open source nature of android and fragmentation made it tough for android for the transition. Apple had it that's good, but it has nothing to do with your usual 'apple innovation', it's just a technology so nothing to brag about.

              rip old apps

There were rumors Pixel 8 will be 64bit only, but from the looks of it, it's already only 64bit. I'd say for regular user, nothing really changes other than better performance. Might only be issue for people using emulators and stuff, assuming they use 32bit for backward compatibility in any way.

Apple ruined half of the iOS apps overnight moving to 64bit only. Many old games for example were not updated and no longer worked. This is why I only buy physical media, I would never pay for apps that might not work later on.

Indeed its good to mandate succeeding apps in 64 bit but still I think its better to retain some support to 32 bit app for another 1-2 yrs as part of transition phase.

Apple got the 5s with 64 bit processor last 2013 and on February 2015 required all apps to be 64-bit... so uuhmm Android loyalist will always find an excuse 'cause you know they always want to be first...all new features are always for them first on Android...

Xiaomi still puts 32-bit Android on some of its new phones (ex. the Redmi 9A and 9C) and Samsung did it too with their A13
