So they'll come with the QC 8g2 then?
That's not much of an upgrade over the QC 8g1+ at all !!
I guess it's a decent upgrade over the garbage QC 8g1, QSD 888+ and QSD 888 chipsets which love throttling, or more balanced chipsets like QSD 870, QSD 865+ and QSD 865.
And a more acceptable upgrade for anyone with a QSD 860, QSD 855+, QSD 855, QSD 780, QSD 778, to the QC 7g1+ and QC 7g1.
I would have upgraded to the Sony Xperia 5 mk IV, but they didn't use the QC 8g1+ instead it had the problematic chipset. Thinking about it, I will most likely skip the Sony Xperia 5 mk 5, and instead get the Sony Xperia 1 mk VI, which should have the monstrous QC 8g3 (New Node 3nm-TSMC, ARMv9 2nd-gen Cortex-A730). Perhaps it will have a much more efficient display and a full-1inch rear camera to make it better.

Snapdragon isn't any better than exynos at this point. First it was horrible (check battery life of Note8), then it was better (check Note20 Ultra), now it's the same. And some people forget about the fact that snapdragon simplifies elements of game graphics, you can see it well in high-end graphics games like dead by daylight mobile where snapdragon models omit or reduce some effects for higher fps and lower temperatures without user consent and exynos chips don't. I don't really care, I like my Note20 Ultra with the "worst" exynos, but people should state facts and not just trash some brand without taking all the facts into account :).

They just gave up in their own crappy chipset.
But... They use snapdragon with underpowered or underutilized performance.
