Apple should re arrange their portofolio. Just like when iPhone 11 announced, it's a huge success because "wow the regular iP 11 is just $700!" and blur the fact of it being successor of iPhone XR.

But now, the 14 starts at 800 while a just bigger version of it cost 900. That's insane because people will think iPhone 14 Pro is a better deal. Maybe some people fall for it and buy the Pro instead. But i believe many people also think "i'd rather go for S22".

And I get the impression that you don’t have much care for Apple products based off our previous conversations. Though do bear in mind that as you post anonymously I only have the location indication ’70d’ to go by. So If I have gotten you confused with all the other pop up anons that chime in, my apologies.

Getting back to the topic at hand, limited theming is possible in iOS using shortcuts, and specific applications, either involves quite a lengthy process from what I gather mind. And It’s not something I personally have tried as themes just are not my cup of tea. In iOS as with Android before it, I just like to establish a Home Screen layout I am happy with.

It's not that I'm super interested in what you said, though. I'm just curious so I asked you. I won't bother look for videos for something that I'm just a bit curious. Your post reminds me of someone who said something I was curious, and I asked him to explain, then he got aggressive and IIRC asked me why didn't I read a huge topic myself. You aren't as aggressive as he was, but you have the same behavior. For some people, it seems that when other people ask them simple questions, they interpret them as challenges.

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2022Could you explain theming using shortcuts? What does it change? Are you really that interested? Based on our past conversations you don’t care at all for anything Apple related. On the off chance you are generally interested though there are tons of video on YouTube on how to ‘theme’ of sorts using shortcuts.

Like I said, themes aren’t really my thing. I prefer customisation in terms of consistent Home Screen layouts using app positioning, folders and widgets. And I’m not going to pretend iOS is on a par with Android here, it since iOS 14 it’s plenty good enough for me.

AnonD-731363, 09 Nov 2022Yes man only on benchmark. Paper. In real life usage ever... moreSpecs are sometimes only important on paper, it’s how those specs are put to use that is more relevant. And in my experience no ‘half baked’ Android can match an iPhone in performance. Though we would need some further clarification from you on what exactly constitutes a ‘half baked android’ 🤷

I would agree that lag is a thing of the past on most high end modern Android devices, certainly this was the case towards the end of my tenure using Android phones.

The last high end Android I have owned to date was the Galaxy S10+, and it wasn’t system performance or presence of lag that put me off that thing, rather the truly and utterly dismal battery performance. I returned it, picked up an iPhone XR and never looked back.

Anonymous, 08 Nov 2022And yet its lag free and runs faster than any Android flagship.Yes man only on benchmark. Paper.
In real life usage every half baked android preforms better and have much more and better specs for half the price.

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2022Can you even change themes? Not like you can on Android no, but some theming is possible using shortcuts. Never was one much for theming anyway.

To be honest I am disappointed with the comments here. I came thirsty to drink some sweet sheeple tears and there's barely a sliver of a stream running down Californee way, barely a trickle I tells ya.

But it's been fun watching one of the most arrogant company in the tech world really take their own loyal, maso, buck broken customers as such fools for so long that I can't wait to see till the pet dogs start biting back (in metaworld and stock prices of course, helloooo zuckberg). Me thinks there's more to lose for fruit company, as a petty hater(tm) (R) (Ph.D) who hates scammers I will continue to watch with popcorn on hand.

The iPhones are heavy, not comfortable to hold, not customisable, not reliable, not cheap. I'm very happy that I have never bought even one of them.

Much like the the watch, the generational "upgrade" is not worth the price. Best to get the much cheaper 13s for significantly less. There's nothing the dynamic island adds that warrants the $200-300 premium. The cameras are indistinguishable and battery is still amazing on last gen devices.

iPhone 14 base model 128GB in my country in Europe costs €1039 directly from Apple. They stretched it too much, when it's basically an iPhone 13 with 2 or 3 tweaks. It should cost €799 or €849 max. And they wonder why not selling? Every year Apple keeps pushing the prices higher to see how far they can go, how far they can rip our pockets (of course others follow) but i think they found a wall now. They found their limit. If they want to ask more, they have to give us a proper iPhone 15 with proper updates, new design, usb-c, 120Hz screen in the base models etc
