Microsoft destroyed Nokia. from that side, Google turned Samsung to the best mobile device company with its Android

I LOVE the polycarbonate unibody design and vibrant colours. You didn't need a case for these tough bricks. The one major thing missing from HMD's ugly, generic 'Nokia' phones.

I had an X model. Ran a launcher on it and it looked like just another Android phone

          MRSTEK, 13 Nov 2022elop was a Trojan That's a fact

Nokia decided to kill everything else after switching to windows phones. WP flopped later on and because of killing everything else previously, they had nothing left to make anymore. They just went all in on WP and lost everything quickly. Quite a stupid move it was

I still have Nokia x and x2, Still works fine I buy clearance for 28$ and 38$ from 2015 and 2020.

              Just another story.

Nokia phones WERE the MOST "BEAUTIFUL" phones I ever had.

These phones would look cooler now with full screen front.
I was thinking during the time that these Nokia phones would make a good portable audio player. Microsoft should have repurposed the designs to be Zune players.

As much as anyone will say it wasnt the case, Elop was a trojan horse, and Nadella just came and made things worse for everyone in Microsoft Mobile.
He single handlely killed Symbian (which was still supported at the time by Nokia), this X series (which gave hopes to a lot of consumers), and later, Windows Phone/W10M (he preferred to launch a broken OS rather than wait 1 more year to polish it more).

Shareholders are happy bc Azure is giving them money, but, does it really takes that much strategy to make money with something like Azure? I dont think so. The bread & butter for Microsoft has always been Office & Windows, and the last half decade, both products were mistreated.

And now, after all that mess, they are trying again with Android (how funny), but alas, no one will bite that bait. Knowing them, they can kill a device in 3 months and left you out in the dark.

The UI is like ultra power saving mode or easy mode on some phones now.

Come to think about it, HMD Nokia or Microsoft can rework and re-release the X UI and make it their own default skin. Ngl, it does look clean.

Those phones were garbage. Nokia 8 got my attention.

I had Asha back then in 2014. It was a nice small phone. Sadly, no phone nowadays match it 😢

Nice build quality but too poor hardware compared with similar products. I could find phones with quad core and 720p screen with the same price tag. But the build quality was REALLY NICE!

Wish they would have either continued with Symbian OS or have early adopted Full fledged Android OS!!
