Point is, if you blame why the phone breaks because you intentionally breaks or accidentally breaks it because of your carelessness, you might want a baby made of steel too, in case you accidentally sit on them and they won't break.

In real world use the ROG may not snap in half, the fact still remains it is structurally nowhere near as sound as almost every other phone on the market

Asus is getting worse in quality. Starting with their ROG phones (not budget nor middle tier bcs they don't make them). And also their ROG and TUF laptops are prone to overheating and bluescreen like WTF?

For God sake, really? Why it was bent? Because it was intentionally bend! If it's not, it won't. Smartphone doesn't have accident guarantee like automotive. Just treat your phone carefully and it will last longer.

There should be drop test... moreyou can thank hardware unboxed and to an extent jerryrig for these 'bend' tests. started with the iPhone 6 plus fiasco and snowballed from there. absolutely no one will be going out of their way to snap a mobile device they just blew a ton of £/$/€ on.
