The only gaming phone that doesn't bend is Red Magic phone. ROG, Legion and Black Shark all snap into 2 part and 3 part for Legion case 🤦🏻♂️

Phones are getting longer these days, companies stretch them out so they can give more screen when we hold them horizontally so that would give more leverage to break em. The USB port right in the middle doesn't help either. One thing that might help is to make these phones thicker but then people are gonna complain about them being too bulky.

bluedragon1eye, 12 Nov 2022If a phone breaks in half easily, it's certainly made ... moreI'm trying to defend what happened but this is not "bad" design. this is designed the way it is. the split battery was meant for fast charging without the need to decrease its size. the faster the charing is, the thicker the bettery, making it smaller. 6000 mAh with 65W charging is amazing. plus, it helps to reduce heat as the voltage is split between the two batterties, hence the split design
the issue is the middle placement of the SoC. in pursuit of heat management, Asus placed it at the middle of the phone for better heat dissipation. also, it seats directly underneath the cooler. this is why ROG Phones have the best SUSTAINED performance out of every other phone, maybe except the Redmagic with its built-in fan.
so, everything was made by design. could Asus made it better? yes, they could and I wish they have so I'm not gonna deny that this is Asus' fault. however, it is made by design all for the name of better gaming which is what this phone is meant for
