Secondly it’s actually useful and it’s more portable than a smartphone which kids can’t bring to school. Also smartphones that are 5 years old aren’t waterproof and can be lost since it’s not attached to your wrist. Moreover, this watch gives data like steps, hours slept etc while smartphones cant.

    who in their right mind is going to buy a 150$ watch for their kid?

      A product category I never understood, even as a kid. Why not just put family link or screentime on a parents old phone then let them use that? No point wasting perfectly good hardware. Also, a watch is gonna be wayyyyy more finicky to use than even a 5 year old phone.
