Surprisingly good update for the 8T..i was just about to switch to a custom ROM, but this update is great. Great Performance boost, very stable and good battery life so far.
Also quite fast update to Android 13 for such an old phone. Almost as fast as Samsung (Galaxy S20 Fe).

After major OS updates, in case of issues like that - reset the whole system or at least network settings. After one Android 11 update I also needed to reset network settings.

app d... moreFunny how my experience with 11 wasn't as good as many said theirs was. I had apps freezing (soon after I started using my then-new 8T) and crashing, phone was also stuttering. Compared to my old 6T's OOS10 it was faster, but internals are also beefier and 120 Hz also helps a lot.
8T became really fast and smooth along with the OOS 12 C20 update. 11 didn't quite feel like it was rendering fully in 120 FPS, but 12 surely does. OOS12 issues that most have seem to be caused by the stock launcher, which I never used even with 6T - there are way better alternatives available that also are faster.

Android 12 has been the worst update for my 8 Pro.
app drawer cant be closed immediately after scrolling just 1 bit down, you have to wait for it to setle the bouncing animation.
Fingerprint sensor is straight poop after update.
lockscreen wont go to sleep everytime, so stays lit.
Bad design compared to oxygen android 11 and overall slower than 11.
Lost alot of features, like draw characters on "screen off" to open chosen apps. (Before you had alot more characters to choose from)
Draw registration is terrible, like turn flash on, with screen off when drawing "O"
lost the feature of locking phone by double tap on "home" button. Now i have to tap once on home and then double tap on wallpaper. So i cant lock phone from an open app, i have to minimize the app to lock (could use physical button but a nice lost feature)
There are so much more where android 11 just worked flawlessly.

OOS12 will never run better then OOS11 🤣Nah, only joke here is your questioning. OOS12 indeed feels smoother than 11, but 11 has its own pros too (and cons, for example general lag/stutter that 12 simply doesn't have). Performance just isn't it in 11's favor, in my experience. Sure, 12 has issues still - but performance-wise I can only praise it. Oh, and battery life, idle drain from 11 is gone.
I don't know how your experience is the opposite. Which device you tried it on? I'm curious. Was it during the initial launch? It has come a long way since. 8T on OOS12 is the fastest phone I've used, and if the trend continues - 13 should make it even better.

They're running now that they see customers and fans dumped them. You can see that in massive OP10 Pro discounts. You can buy one for 650. I'm interested to see what will be their new pricing for OP11, clearly they can't put it at 900-1000 lol.
I think it's quite late for Oneplus...people already perceive them as just another OPPO rebrand...
