OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8T join the Android 13 fun with stable update now rolling out

Earlier today we told you about the OnePlus 9R and 10R receiving the OxygenOS 13 update based on Android 13, and here we are again with three more devices from the Chinese maker being graced with the same new release.

We're talking about the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T, all from 2020. Although the company hasn't yet officially announced the rollout of OxygenOS 13 for these three, multiple users are reporting receiving the stable update even if they were not part of the Open Beta testing.

That's good news, as it means the rollout is well underway. The new version is tagged F.13 for all three handsets. The OnePlus 8 is getting build IN2011_11_F.13 in India and IN2015_11_F.13 globally, the 8 Pro has IN2021_11_F.13 in India and IN2025_11_F.13 everywhere else, while the 8T makes do with KB2001_11_F.13 in India and KB2005_11_F.13 globally. So the differing parts are just up to each phone's individual model number.

The update brings with it all the goodies that Google packed into Android 13, of course, with additional OnePlus stuff generously sprinkled on top. We're talking brand new Aquamorphic Design for the overall UI, fonts, as well as "natural and vivid" animations which have "real-world physical motions" to "make them look more natural and intuitive". Speaking of which, you're treated to Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 in this release, which "recognizes complex gestures and provides optimized interactions".

There's also a new type of Always-On Display that shows live information about music, ride hailing, and food delivery apps, media playback control in Quick Settings, an optimized Shelf, cast content automatically adjusting to the target screen, a more seamless earphone connectivity experience, auto pixelation of chat screenshots, regular clipboard cleaning, and thanks to the Dynamic Computing Engine you can expect improved system speed, stability, battery life, and "app experience".

Kid Space has been added too, complete with Eye comfort mode, and the new HyperBoost GPA 4.0 should "stabilize the frame rate and balance the performance and power consumption in key scenarios" when gaming.

As always, keep in mind that these rollouts might be staged, which means it could take at least a few days for the new software to reach all OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8T units out there in the wild.

My One plus 8pro fingerprint stopped working as a result of current update. I see I'm not the only person to have this problem there for must be the software.

Fingerprint does not work at all after upgrading to OS 13. I'm looking for a fix but this is not just a random rom from a website, it came straight from OnePlus..

It's been 2w still i haven't received for 8T EU.
