It's so rediculous how APPLE micro maintains technical "progress" (USB3, i know, released in 2008) exclusively to their top line, in order to implement an additional incentive for the upselling trickery.
While those same technical improvements are outside of APPLE's parallel universe just established standard technology (except maybe for the cheapest entry level "light" phones).
For me USB2.0 speed on the iphone 14 in 2022 felt so disgusting that i decided to switch do Android for good. ANd don't wait ANOTHER year.
Simply in order to obtain access to technical standards (screen size and camera among them) that APPLE believes to have to cost way above 1 grand.
Maybe they can sell this to their typical iPhone users, but some of them actually have a clue whats going on outside of that walled garden.
APPLE should owe it to their self respect to phase out USB2.0 speeds in all of their phones.
In 2023.
For ever.

First (I think) to release a fully fledged desktop environment on their phones, amongst the first to include a 1440p display on their phones, first to release a foldable phone for the mass market... I could go on. This is why people critisize them more than Apple. Lol.

I do almost always .. via cloud or email I barely stick usb cable to an PC or laptops ... lot of hassle ... you outdated... becsue u don't use wifi 6 or wifi 6e so that's why u don't do it.. Of course not bluetooth nobody says or me transfering over slow BT ..

I'm very into tech and have a pretty in depth knowledge because of the nature of the jobs I have done but I use Android phones or tablets and windows computing systems rather than iphones or a mac because of pricing and philosophical differences only. But to be clear, apple technology is miles ahead of anything Windows or android can offer. I'm biased against apple in many ways but I'm not stupid. The capability of the the latest A series bionic or even m2 series chips in mac's or laptops is miles ahead. Just because the Apple os GUI is much easier to understand and navigate, that doesn't mean that all users are tech noobs or novices.

That is one of the reasons why apple works and sells so well, it is easy to use and with 4 clicks all the items of the ecosystem works.
As i'm a tech person, for me doing one or two steps more to do the same on other brands is no bother, for non-tech people that is a nightmare ( even if it is only two clicks or a little fiddling).
But i also agree, many people with Iphones have them because "a friend has it" or "because it is cool", funny enough even some of them are broke as fuck, but they all end up showing off the iphone on the desk.
Not too far from today i was laughed because i had a VIVO with 4 cameras in the back, and how his iphone 13 pro was superior, i proved him otherwise and completely destroyed in camera comparison at low light ( was dark ), at least he had a 120hz screen, some of my cousins still has the 12 Pro that runs at 60hz, quite disgusting for such a pricetag phone.
Anyway, you can buy watever you want, but it is clear that who buys apple these days, besides they like it ( the ecosystem ) is mostly because of the logo.
If for some reason apple switched, and let's say Samsung or any other became the new apple, well people will flee away from apple to the new trending cool to own stuff.

I have Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G and have USB-c 2.0 and I do not cry over it because I haven't been sending migillion or gillion files like crazy ...who does dat nowadays nobody only like 100 photos max..? In 6 months if no year ?
And I have WiFi 6 and will transfer sht over it in no time...

How can we complain about the speed difference when Android brands are doing the same thing? Heck, Xiaomi still gives USB-C 2.0 for their premium flagship phone like the 12S Ultra ffs!
